Chris Gayle hints at making comeback – Cricket News Update
West Indian Batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/CH-Gayle-c1221, has showed his availability to represent his national side, and expressed a strong desire to make a comeback.
"I am available whenever I am needed. I have pointed out to them (WICB) that I am available for West Indies cricket. There is a camp (going on) but nothing has been said to me," the Caribbean batsman, Gayle stated in a television
interview.
Meanwhile, the left-handed batsman also revealed that he recently met with the Ernest Hilaire, who is the Chief Executive of West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).
According to the former Caribbean skipper, Hilaire was willing to fix issues with him, and they discussed all the possibilities in this regard during their meeting.
"It was a good productive meeting. Myself and the CEO actually together sat down and had a fair and frank discussion with each other," Gayle added. "He pointed out...the problems he had with me which we actually sorted out."
Remember, the 31-year-old Gayle was dropped from the national side after the recently concluded World Cup, following his non serious attitude towards serving his country.
Sidelining Gayle, WICB claimed that the dashing opening batsman was recovering from injuries which compelled them to ignore him against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World Cup.
However, at that time, Gayle claimed that board was not interested to check his injury rehabilitation, and he was shocked when he came to know about his axing from the Windies squad.
Meanwhile, the hard-hitting batman decided to participate in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) to offer his services to Royal Challengers Bangalore, which irked WICB more.
At that time WICB’s boss, Hilaire, slammed the Jamaica-born star batsman for preferring IPL over national duty.

In the meantime, Gayle, who has played 91 Tests, and 228 One Day Internationals for West Indies, scoring 6373, and 8087 runs respectively, rejected the speculations of his retirement from International cricket.
"I don't reach the stage of retiring yet. I still have a lot of cricket to play, internationally as well," said Gayle.
