According to him, they have invested a heavy amount on the left-handed batsman in the last two year, which should have been enough for Gayle to join with them.
“Chris only played two matches with the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Warriors-c861 in 2009-10 and left the team early due to national commitments last summer, but we continued to support and do all that we could for him the past two seasons.” The Chief Executive Officer expressed.
Meanwhile, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/John-Michael-Arthur-c68347, the Coach of Scorchers, thinks that Gayle is one of the best Twenty20’s batsmen and can hammer any bowling line up.
However, he showed his disappointment after losing Gayle’s http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Services-c840 and is looking forward to strengthening the squad with other options.
On the other hand, the 31-year-old batsman, Gayle, seems pleased after joining Sydney.
"Having worked well with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, I was impressed with his plans for the Thunder and I think the team will have a great chance to win this competition.” Gayle expressed.
Earlier, the West Indies Cricket Board was not http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Arthur-Percival-Day-c45927 with Gayle’s decision to play the Indian Premium League (IPL), instead of playing for his national side.
However, the hard-hitting batsman claimed that WICB treated him discourteously, and did not ask him about his injury status, which forced him to join Royal Challengers Bangalore.
In the mean time, Sydney also included the Aussie batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DA-Warner-c1301, in the squad for the Big Bash Twenty20 tournament.
"I am extremely happy to sign with the Sydney Thunder, and I'm looking forward to walking out to represent the electric greens,” Warner stated.
