The hard-hitting opening batsman of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, Chris Gayle, has expressed contentment over the love and support he has got from the fans for his latest stint with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the recently concluded season 4 of the lucrative Indian
Premier League (IPL).
the 31 year old Jamaican echoed that playing for RCB was an amazing experience of his life. He also believes that the success appreciation he received for playing for RCB cannot be paralleled with that of his national team.
"Its amazing I can score no runs and still be love and appreciated round the World!! Never get these sort of luv and respect in West Indies!!!," tweeted Gayle on his Twitter account.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore finished the high-profile tournament as the runners up after losing to Chennai Super Kings by 58 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Saturday.
Gayle had joined RCB in the midst of the tournament after being overlooked by the national selectors for the West Indies home series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 series. He was signed by the RCB  management at the last moment as a replacement for Australian pacer, Dirk
Nannes, who was forced to cut short his IPL stint due to injury.
Gayle, who, returned as the leading run scorer in the IPL- 4 with a tally of 608 runs from 12 innings at a sparkling average of 67.55. The journey saw him notching two centuries and three fifties. The belligerent Caribbean batsman played 322 balls this time
around plundering 56 for muscular boundaries and 44 for lofty sixes. The dazzling performance earned him Player of the Tournament award.
He however, missed out in the grand finale of the lucrative league as he was dismissed by Ashwin for a third-ball duck. The Jamaican, however, was floored by the appreciation and love he got from the Indian fans.
The IPL champions side, Chennai Super Kings also included a Caribbean import, Dwayne Brave. Gayle after ending the league as losing finalist congratulated his compatriot for winning the title.
"The party must go on...it was 3 WI players in finals, but at least 1 WI player taste IPL championship! Bravo..big up!! All 3 celebrating!!!," Gayle tweeted further.
The aggressive all-rounder thanked Royal Challengers Bangalore for giving him an opportunity to prove his mettle after missing out in January’s auction.
"Well everything got an end...the IPL is 1...Thanks again every1, players, coach, boss, staff...and of course The Fans!!! More Blessings.."
