Despite not plying his trade with the national team since the World Cup 2011 due to a row with the Windies Cricket Board, Gayle has been crossing continents to make himself available in lucrative T20 competitions.

The next destination for the flamboyant player will be the subcontinent, where he will feature for the Bangalore outfit after they signed him on a first right basis, following his impressive outings last year. Gayle scored two centuries along with three
fifties to guide the side to the finals of the competition in the fourth edition and was ecstatic to continue his love affair with the IPL heavy weight.
"To me, Bangalore has been a home away from home," Gayle said. "I wanted to continue playing for them, and it turned out that they were keen to retain my services."

Bangalore will play their first match on their home ground against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 Daredevil on April 7, with Gayle hopeful of reliving his past outing in the Indian Arena. The competition itself will be 54 days long with the final being played on March 27. The
amount of his purchase is disclosed but it is expected to make him amongst the highest paid overseas stars.
