Chris Jericho New World Heavyweight Championhip Number One Contender?

Question

I think that Chris Jericho has skills equal to CM Punk and I think that there is enough talent in WWE to be able to put on good matches with Punk. While JBL has solid in-ring work I feel that he is far past his prime to keep up with Punk in the ring so I'm hoping that Punk is able to carry a solid match at SummerSlam on Sunday. I would really be interested in a Punk/Jericho program as I feel that both possess in-ring skills that could produce a lot of great matches.

Does Anyone else Feel Jericho Should Be named As The New Number 1 Contender After Summerslam?

Heck yeah! Did you see how the crowd got excited when Chris came out asking for a shot at the title? They forgot to boo. I even marked out a little... The Truth is during the WWE's lowest time, Chris Jericho and Shawn Michael was the only thing people were interested in (Not to mention his wrestling abilties are on point). I want to see him with the belt.

Chris Jericho is a great heel at the moment, who has a new look and a new approach as to how he carries himself and his character. I think with the similar styles, and the fact that both are great on the mic, a feud between these two would produce great matches and great promo's.

Also, it would be nice to see two smaller guys going at it rather than 300lbs jokes like Batista and JBL.
