Chris Jericho lashes out on CM Punk on Monday Night Raw SuperShow – WWE News
Monday Night Raw SuperShow this week started with a quarrel between Chris Jericho and CM Punk. The show started with CM Punk coming to the stage to face Daniel Bryan. However, surprisingly Jericho’s ‘Break the Walls’ music hit and we saw Y2J with his shimmery
jacket walking to the ring with anger and anguish in his eyes.
As soon as Jericho entered the ring, he lashed out on CM Punk. It should be noted here that these days the t-shirt Punk wears has ‘The Best in the World’ slogan on it, which apparently is a slogan invented and used by Chris Jericho. Probably, this is what
made Y2J angry and he told Punk that it is not Punk but Y2J who is the best in the world at whatever he does. Then we saw Jericho bragging about him and his past experiences. Surely, Chris Jericho has been among the top superstars of all time for the WWE and
that is what he was trying to imply here. He further said that he is special because he belongs to a dying breed of wrestlers who used to entertain people without worrying about the consequences. This is actually something we have been hearing a lot these
days by Triple H, The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Now, Chris Jericho has joined the bandwagon.
Things kept rolling just when Punk felt it is enough and he interrupted Jericho saying that he (Punk) is better than Y2J. He further said that Y2J might be the best at what he does but Punk is the best wrestler in the world. However, unlike Jericho, Punk
was being respectful. He acknowledged Chris Jericho’s achievements and told him that he indeed has been among the best but he should not brag about it. Punk further said that Jericho feels inferiority within himself and he wants to prove it to himself that
he is the best. This was something that irked Y2J but he kept quiet. Punk further said that whoever wins the match at WrestleMania 28 would be the best wrestler in the world. The face-off ended with Y2J looking into Punk’s eyes just when Daniel Bryan’s music
hit.
