Chris Jericho to face C.M. Punk at WrestleMania – Wrestling news
Chris Jericho won the 10-Man No. 1 Contender's Battle Royal on the Feb. 20 edition of Raw SuperShow to face C.M. Punk on WrestleMania 28.
Chris Jericho was knocked out by C.M. Punk by a kick to the back of the head in the Elimination Chamber on Sunday. After the kick, Chris Jericho was unable to compete in the match which irked him to the limits.
However, Chris Jericho did not give up at this point and he gave his best on Monday Night Raw to win the 10-Man No. 1 Contender's Battle Royal. After Chris Jericho’s superb victory, it is now even more obvious that he is eager to get his hands on the title
that Punk holds.
On the other hand, C.M. Punk made his statements against Chris Jericho to let him down. Both men have been involved in a war of words since Jericho made his return last month. It was obvious that Y2J had come for a special purpose but no one knew that he
would be taking on Punk.
According to Jericho, C.M. Punk is unworthy of holding the title since he has hardly gone through the hardships most champions do. Not agreeing to this, C.M. Punk called Jericho a loser who could never hold onto the title for long.
Chris Jericho was once the sensation of WWE and he became the first ever Undisputed Champion holding both, the WWE championship and World heavyweight championship belts. Jericho has been fighting for more than 15 years now and he has definitely been among
the most exciting and energetic wrestlers of all time. C.M. Punk is still on his way to success and he sure has a couple of more years to reach the level where he can proudly call himself the man who can rightfully wear the belt around his waist.
As for now, fans should be excited to know that another thrilling match is added to the WrestleMania 28 card and that is of Punk and Jericho. Also, on Raw was announced Triple H’s match against The Undertaker for the big event. With all of these matches,
WrestleMania 28 is now looking like the real deal.
