Question:

Chris Judd - will he be cited for striking Sellwood on Friday night?

Judd gave Sellwood a backhander to the head which caused a cut requiring several stitches. Regardless of the circumstances, if the AFL is serious, Judd should be cited & cop a couploe of weeks. But knowing how the AFL looks after it's golden boys he'll probably receive the 'Goodes' treatment & get cleared.

  1. Yes it might be different if his name was Kerr.

  2. I reckon he should be charged. That way the evidence can be looked at and if he doesn't get rubbed out this time, he has a "prior" next time he hits a younger slighter player, despite his golden boy status.

I saw the incident briefly on TV, and it looked deliberate and heavier than it should have been, like Mr Hall's.

  3. i didnt know Judd did that and i watched the game. i was more worried about what they would do to Fevola hitting that WCE dude. Is he even guna get called up on that?

  4. No

  5. I don't think he'll go.  Personally I think it was deliberate.  I mean he knew he was there and approximately where his head was,  but the fact he had his back to him makes it look accidental.

  6. Yeah, he's a big brute. He intended it, eagles really worked him up. I havn't seen him angrey like that before!

  7. Yeah, he should be rubbed out.

Dirty mongrel, hitting someone when they're not expectin it. A trend creeping into the game of late.

  8. I am a huge Juddy fan, love the way he plays the game, i loved the way he wacked sellwood, taggers scrag, pull, push all day, he did what the good onballers do, throw your arms back to break the tag, if he's head is there, bad luck, he did it on purpose in my opinion, he knew he was there, any one who thinks differently is kiddind themselves, i think he was within his rights, taggers play outside the rules, so fight fire with fire.

You are right, he should be sited, whether he goes or not depends on the legal arguement they put forward, but in reality, if you've ever been tagged, you know he meant it. it's what you are taught to do. i know i done it many times as a ruck rover, i was continually held etc, it either had no effect or got them off my back, but i wouldn't die wondering, thats for certain.
