http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Taylor-c92915 – Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/LRPL-Taylor-c1849, says that veteran pacer, Chris Martin, still has a part to play in Kiwi cricket despite the team possessing an array of young fast bowlers at their disposal.
The Black Caps suffered another defeat in the longer version after losing to India in the second and final Test match of the series at Bangalore. The five-wicket beating nonetheless, saw them put in an improved effort following a horror show at Hyderabad,
where the team lost out by an innings margin.
That renewed fight was built on the back of strong bowling contributions from a trio of young pacers in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Doug-Bracewell-c1394. The former’s career best 7 for 64 in the first innings allowed his side to take a small first innings lead,
while the other two pacer also bowled with a sense of purpose and aggression.
With http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Christopher-Alroy-Martin-c50714 in doubt following some poor showings in recent times. The 37-year-old veteran was omitted from the second Test of the previous tour, against West
Indies, after suffering a beating from the bat of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hyderabad-c792.
Also his contributions with the bat remain comical, again evident from his ducks in the opening Test.  Excited by the future of New Zealand cricket, Taylor still sees Martin as an important member of the side and one who could help youngsters take advantage
from his experience and knowledge of the game.
"I think with young fast bowlers, they need someone to learn off. There's going to be times in the next few months that Chris will play and there'll be times when he might not play at all," he said. "We have a tour to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 coming up but also a tour
to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 and in New Zealand where we could go in with four quicks. So he's still got a part to play with New Zealand cricket."
The Black Caps end their tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 with two T20Is, the first of which will be played on September 8th.
