Chris Paul being over rated??

Question

Dont get me wrong, im not hatin. CP3 is my favorite point guard, and im know he is well on his way to become the best PG in the league, and possibly win a few titles and make the Hall of fame, he has potential. But people are already over rating him, sayin he's like the 3rd best PG of all time, or he's the best player in the league right now. Some guy on here said he is already much better than Kobe. In good time, if he keeps his game in tact, avoids injuries, and keeps getting better as he matures, all of that may be possible. But right, he's only a talented hotshot with a BUNCH of raw talent that hasn't been developed yet. So do you think people are somewhat over rating him as of now??

I disagree, 21.1 PPG, 11.6 APG, 4.0 RPG and I'm not one for stats!!!!! Besides his numbers, his speed, decision makin and awareness is definately among the elite like Steve Nash & Jason Kidd(dispite Jason Kidd horrible Season last Season)!!!!!!!!!!

As a PG, you cannot be any better. Not even Arenas, Iverson, Kidd, or Lil' nash. Why?

How many PGs have led the league in both steals and assists in the same year?

How many PGs have finished second in MVP voting that have just been in the league for 2 years?

How many PGs have gotten 20's, 10's in the past ten years?

How many PGs have led his team to the conference finals as a 23 year-old player?

And how many 6 feet players have been this amazing (Iverson and Tiny Archibold are in this category)?

How can any one not love him!!!

i personally think deron williams is the better point guard..he has the perfect size for a point guard, hes just unstopable and WAYYYY better defender than chris paull(you guys remember jordan farmar, he was 1-42 from the fg, and had like 5 points the entire series)

Yes, he is. People think that being overrated means they are a bad player, that is not even close to what it means. It means that they are given more credit than they deserve. Chris Paul did not take a bunch of sucky role players to the playoffs. Look at their team; David West, Peja, Tyson Chandler. Those are not sucky role players. He is a good point guard, arguably the best in the NBA, but he is overrated. But I will get thumbs down since most people don't know what overrated means. He is nowhere near being the best in the NBA, he has to pass Kobe and LeBron. He has a way to go.

look at how young he is. he's already putting up amazing numbers and leading his team to the playoffs. Chris Paul is definitely NOT being overrated. but rather, Deron Williams is being underrated.
