Chris Paul wants to move to New York?

It seems as if LeBron James’ teaming up with Dwyane Wade in Miami has scared New Orleans Hornets' point guard Chris Paul into requesting a trade from his team.

According to sources the point guard will meet with new general manager Dell Demps and new head coach Monty Williams to discuss his future and will also hand the team a list of other franchises he wants to move to.

Top of that list according to sources who spoke to ESPN’s Chris Broussard are the New York Knicks, with the Orlando Magic second. If Paul does get traded to New York he will team up with Amar’e Stoudemire and possibly Carmelo Anthony who can be a free agent next year.

If Paul does get his wish and moves to New York and Anthony does sign as a free agent next year they will form a big-three comparable to that of Miami, who have Wade, James and Chris Bosh.

If the Hornets can’t convince Paul to stay, and by some accounts they won’t be able to, a trade before the start of the season could happen. And with Paul’s close friend – LeBron James – wishing his friend the best of luck on Twitter, saying "Best of luck to my brother @oneandonlycp3. Do what's best for You and your family," the signs don’t look promising for New Orleans.

Paul agreed to a four-year, $68 million extension which began last season and has a player option in the last year of the deal.
