  2. RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICKKKKKKKKK...      WILLLLLLLLLLLLLLIAAAAAAAAAAMMMMS

  3. First, what are your league settings?  PPR league?  Do you start 2 qbs?

Now that you've figured that out, we can see that either one is a solid pickup for you.  Both have ups and downs so you can't really think of it as one of them being better than the other.

    Upsides:

Ricky is more of an established runner and has a better resume.  He has looked good this preseason and miami will definitely run the ball a lot with the weak quarterbacks they have there.

According to Carson Palmer, "(Perry) has looked like the fastest guy out there on the field."  That's a pretty huge endorsement from a guy who knows the game of football.  Perry is a big back as well and will be the starter in Cincinnati.  Plus, with Carson at the helm, you know he'll be catching a lot of swings and screens.  Especially if Ocho Cinco's shoulder finally blows up.

    Downsides:

Although Ricky has been tabbed as the number 1 for week 1, what happens when Ronnie Brown comes back 100%?  People seem to forget that he was the leading RB in fantasy through the first 5 weeks of the season while Ricky was getting off the ganja.  Not to mention that even though Tony Sparano is the coach of the Dolphins, we all know that this is Parcells' team.  And Parcells' loves his RBBC.

Perry has been injured for a huge portion of his brief NFL career.  They were freak injuries, but injuries nonetheless.  As this is the case, Perry will have to stay injury free for the whole season in order to keep Kenny Watson from taking over the show.  Both of these guys have shown an ability to make plays happen, so a timeshare may develop unless Perry steps his game up.

After careful review of the upsides and downsides, I think that I would go with Perry even though Ricky is the more established back.  There are just far more weapons for the defense to worry about on the Bengals offense which should open things up for the running game.

  4. Williams. He had proven b4 all his off the field issues that he could be a pro bowl caliber back. Now he seems to have straightened his life out. Perry wouldnt be bad either but I would go with Williams

  5. Ricky Williams.

    Proven back in the past.

Perry is the starter, but has never been any good and has had a terrible pre-season.
