Chris Sale ready to pitch as starter for Chicago White Sox next season – MLB News
The Chicago White Sox management has decided to rotate their potential pitcher Chris Sale as starter in the next season to bring more stability in their game.
The White Sox general manager Kenny Williams has recently commented in the media regarding his and the other White Sox management’s intentions for Chris Sale as he will be playing as starter in 2012 in order to stay more on the top of his game.
Sale, who has just one year of professional baseball experience, is certainly among those players who can learn fast as they become mainstream players right away.
Coming into the White Sox roster last season, Sale went with 2.79 ERA including eight saves and a WHIP of 1.11. With this decision of Chris Sale’s starting the game for the White Sox, can be very good decision especially when the team management is not spending
much bringing new players for the next season.
Even in the last season when the White Sox were playing in the regular season, GM Kenny Williams was willing to give him some indication that he will be playing next season as starter as he stated at the end of the season. Williams was pretty sure as he
has learnt enough pitching skills to start a game at a very young age.
Chris Sale is capable of playing alongside other White Sox who have just showed the other league opponents their vigilance down the stretch in the 2011 season.
Earlier the White Sox pitching Coach Don Cooper has stated that Chris needs more time to spend on the mound and that the team is not hurrying him to start the game. GM Kenny Williams has clearly commented in the media that Chris Sale will play as starter
in 2012. No official statement has come out from Chris Sale’s side but this is sure that he will be quite happy over the decision.
Sometimes a certain player at a certain place and time knows more than the other individual’s say about his or her game to perform well at a higher level with full enthusiasm. This kind of confidence is also inspiring Chris Sale who has worked hard last
season to earn this confidence from the White Sox management.
