The Poms will travel to the Middle East from the start of next year, where they will lock horns with the Men In Green in three Test matches, four ODIs and three T20s.
Under the England Performance Programme (EPP), which sees the batsmen travelling to India to get accustom to the similar conditions in the UAE, Tremlett along with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 under the same
programme in order to prepare themselves for the upcoming challenges.
The tall fast bowler played his last match in July against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 at Lords, where he suffered a back injury which cut short his involvement with the national team that consequently whitewashed the Men In Blue in the following three five-day games to claim
the No 1 Test spot.
Now eyeing a swift return to the side, the 30-year-old feels that the EPP tour is a perfect platform for him to regain witness, and hopefully get in the squad for the team’s next assignment.
"All fingers crossed I get through South Africa with no injury worries," he said. "Hopefully I get selected on the tour. There's no guarantees these days but in my mind it'll all be fine, I can go to Dubai, find my form I had last year and get back in the
team. Obviously there are other guys knocking on the door so I need to find my form pretty quickly."
Before getting injured, Tremlett had an outstanding year where he returned to the Test side in the Ashes and performed impeccably to ensure that his side retained the urn. Despite being out for a considerable period of time, the pacer is still booming with
confidence and hopes to get back to his best as quickly as possible.
"I'm back in the nets now back going through my action. It's just trying to remember all the little things and nit-pick everything together as quick as I can and hopefully bowl as well as I was before the injury," added Tremlett.
