Chris Woakes vows to make a comeback in the England team – Cricket News Update
England’s out of favour all-rounder, Chris Woakes, is out to revive his career and is geared up to do well in the ongoing County season, so that he can impress the selectors and make a comeback in the national team.

the same year but injured his thigh during the series and since then he has been out of international cricket.

Since the last couple of years, England has been doing exceedingly well in international cricket, especially in Test cricket, and Woakes understands that it is not going to be a walk in the park for him to return to international cricket. There are some

"The position England is in at the moment, there's a lot of competition. It's difficult to go in the squad, come out again, then go back in, but that's the way it is. All I can do is keep performing for Warwickshire and hopefully I'll get more opportunities,"
said Woakes.
Woakes is of the opinion that County cricket is a great platform for any player to enhance his skills, even though there is a lot of difference between international cricket and County cricket.
"The quality of cricket is higher in the international game, of course. But county cricket stands you in good stead for that. One-day cricket has improved massively and you won't get much stronger cricket around the world than the championship Division One,"
he added.
