Chris Wood, the quickest man on the fields of golf, the BMW International Open enters decisive stage!
Chris Wood was the quickest man on the field this week at the BMW International Open.
Wood could not show up at the course in time and had to run all over the field to make up for the time he wasted. It was a sight to witness Wood running and pacing around the course to make up for his tee-off time.
The BMW International Open has open gates for Wood to get the best out of him as a golfer and he is definitely feeling the thrill.
He is among the top players in the tournament alongside Danny Willett.
The biggest disappointment of the International Open was the exit of local favourite Martin Kaymer. Being the most favourite golfer of the entire tournament, Kaymer could not impress the audience and failed to play his level of golf.
On the other hand, Sergio Garcia was in bad form and had an average score at the end of the day. Garcia is well-known for not winning a single major tournament and the media has been on his back due to a missing major win.
Garcia seemed careless has about him having a major win or not. He concluded that for some golfers it is important, but for him, it is not a big deal.
“Many things, many friends, many other hobbies that make me happy, so you know, some guys need to win a major, some guys don't,” said Garcia.
It was hilarious to witness a golfer of Garcia’s stature acting childishly when asked about his major record.
“If I don't have a major, what can I do, I'm not going to take my life because I don't win a major. Fortunately I have a lot of other things that maybe some of those guys who have won majors don't have,” said the Spanish golfer.
Chris Wood is enjoying contention at the BMW International Open and is looking invincible at the field with his play and his jogging that he displayed while covering the tee-off time.
“It's always nice to put yourself in contention - nothing beats it really,” said Wood.
It is going to become tough as the BMW International Open enters decisive round next week. For some, it will be a ticket back home, and for some, it will mark glory.
