He was a decent fighter.  He retired in 1996 with a record of 33-2, 23 KOs.  He was the former WBA super middleweight titleholder, and he made 2 successful defenses before he lost his title.  He also challenged for the WBC light heavyweight title againt Eric Harding, but was stopped in 8 rounds.
