Question:

Christ as the man-god?

I have a question for those who believe that Jesus is God in flesh and blood. I don't mean any respect, I simply want to inquire as to your opinions about what seems to me a paradox: If God is infinite and perfect, how can God be man, who is finite and imperfect?

  1. Jesus is not God, he is the son.  He never claimed to be God in the Bible, ever.  He said he was God's son.  There is one particular verse that some so called Christians twist all up and say it proves the Trinity.

John 14:28, RS: “[Jesus said:] If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.”

Many teachings and practices now common in false religion originated long ago in Babylon. For example, the Babylonians worshiped trinities, or triads, of gods. Today, the central doctrine of many religions is the Trinity. But the Bible clearly teaches that there is only one true God, and that Jesus Christ is his Son. (John 17:3)

1 Peter 1:3, RS: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!” (Repeatedly, even following Jesus’ ascension to heaven, the Scriptures refer to the Father as “the God” of Jesus Christ. At John 20:17, following Jesus’ resurrection, he himself spoke of the Father as “my God.” Later, when in heaven, as recorded at Revelation 3:12, he again used the same expression. But never in the Bible is the Father reported to refer to the Son as “my God,” nor does either the Father or the Son refer to the holy spirit as “my God.”)

No mystery understanding this.  They say the Trinity is a mystery and that is why they can't explain it.  But the Bible makes no mystery of who is God, the Father and who is the son.

  2. "I don't mean any respect"  - awesome me neither.

Because its an old frankenstein story.  Made of the dead parts of other stories and brought to some semblance of life.  You might as well ask, why did he talk to himself in the garden, or ask if he forsook himself later, or why did Satan even try to tempt him.  Or why he had to die since he could have just created a better situation with his omnipotence.  And how could he die?  And is it really a sacrifice if he is all powerful and just headed to a better place right after?  Three hours on a cross to wait for an eternity of heaven?  I'd rather that than airport security.

  3. Christ was a man of flesh and blood, yet the 'spirit of man' found in all of us from birth was 100% succumb to the rule of the 'spirit of God'. This is being Born Again. A man, but ruled (and directed) by God. Hence He said, "if you have seen me you have seen My Father."

  4. All the evidence suggests he never existed!!

There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one!!! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded!!

Outside of the bible he is not mentioned in anything until many years after his supposed death!!

    And what about the bible?

The Roman Emperor Constantine produced the bible and he was a pagan not god!!!   He also organized Christianity into the Holly Roman Catholic Church!!  Not in Israel or any of the countries of supposed origin but entirely Italian!!  Christianity is still focused on Italy and other countries with nothing to do with the biblical areas!!

What a wonder full disinformation and deception campaign he waged against his Christian enemies - so good in fact that Christians are still following the deception to this day!!!

And all those answers saying Jesus was not god simply ignore the definition of Christian!!

CHRISTIAN – A follower or believer in Jesus.  So are they declaring themselves non Chrsitian?!!!

  5. Jesus was not God and doesn't claim to be. Calling Jesus God is worshiping other gods.

"Among Bible verses cited by opponents of Trinitarianism are those that claim there is only one God, the Father. Other verses state that Jesus Christ was a man. " - Wikipedia

    * John 17:3: "Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."

    * 1Corinthians 8:5-6: "For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"), yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live."

    * 1Timothy 2:5: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"

    * Acts 7:55-56: "But he (Stephen), being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God."

For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all."

  6. Jesus was the incarnation of the supermind GOD. GOD took birth on this earth as Jesus by its own will of Virgin Mary to restore peace on this earth.

Yes God is infinite, but it takes birth on this earth as a normal human just to restore peace on this earth.

Now I ask you a question, if u want to see Pacific Ocean, would you rather fly over the whole Pacific or just go to a beach?

I mean, Yes GOD is infinite, but do we have to go till infinity to see it??

GOD is a concept which has created mankind, this earth, sun, trees, planets, water and everything visible or non-visible (i.e. air, demons and angels, h**l and heaven etc). If there is a power which we all believe in and that has created all this universe, why can't it be seen??

Now, I ask you a question. Who gave you birth?? Your Mother and Father right! If you can see the creator of your physical body, i.e. your Father and Mother, then why can't you see the creator of your soul and this whole universe. In fact, it is the birth right of every human being to see GOD!!

You can see your parents thru your physical eyes, right! But GOD can't be seen by these Physical eyes! There is a third eye that is needed to be opened in order to see the GOD. Just like butter is there in the milk itself, but it can only be extracted thru a special process, as is fire is present in wood, but there is a special process needed to bring it out, i.e. rubbing it. That is how GOD can only be seen thru third eye or divine eye which is present in every human being.

That third eye can be opened by a perfect master only!

Now the good news, you can see GOD too. Visit http://divyajyoti.org/

Or if u want to ask any more questions, u r most welcome!!...Good Luck... :-)

  7. Jesus was supposed to be God in the form of a man - God taking on the burden of the flesh to understand the lives of his creation.  It is not an experiment you are going to be reproducing in lab class and it is not a logic experiment, either.  It was a divine act, not a paradox.

  8. If God is able to do all things, why couldn't He present Himself to us in a form we can understand, while still maintaining an infinite presence?

  9. It is indeed a paradox, and the only reasonable answer is that Jesus never existed; he was nothing more than a myth.

  10. Jesus is alive thus Jesus is infinite. The human respect of Jesus died but rose from the dead and went to Heaven. For that time and place, Jesus physical being went away but He is alive and well in Heaven plus He will return to earth some day. Read the Bible and find out about the above.

  11. God is The God Almighty, no need to be less then God.

Human is humble creation of Creator God and by any means can not be compare with God Almighty.

Jesus was completely Human and son of Marium, daughter of man and women.

Jesus born to a piassed lady without intervention of man, miraculously by the will of God Almighty, as God created Adam without man and woman from nothing.

  12. It definatly presents itself as a paradox, and this is much debated issue. Sin is imparted to every man from the first man. Those in the reformed movement (including myself), believe that sin is imparted to every baby from the man's seed. This is why Jesus was born of a virgin. She had never been with a man, Jesus was concieved by the Holy spirit, a sinless being. His mother, Marry was a human. Thus Jesus was able to be 100% man, and 100% God. He was a sinless man. He had to be sinless in order to take the sins of the rest of the world on his body and pay our penalty.

This is kind of Confusing, but here's a link to a website where you can listen to Dr. Patrick Griffiths talk on the subject.

  13. He was completely human and completely man.

  14. They can put words together and repeat them forever but it simply doesn't make sense.  God cannot possibly be anything less than fully God, so God cannot possibly be a man.  The invisible pink unicorn makes much more sense.  She is sooooo awesome!

  15. You first say Christ then you say Jesus,  which do you mean?  Jesus' last name was not Christ.

  16. The only begotten son of God existed from eternity, and first took on flesh at the beginning of the 1st century, in order to redeem mankind.

The flesh that he took on was sinless and perfect. After his sacrifical death, his resurrection transformed that brutalized, but still sinless and perfect flesh into immortal glory.

Forever after, Jesus was not only divine spirit, but divine man, perfect in every respect, as he will always be.
