  1. I would get some balloons, it's a party after all. Banners, that just a personal opinion, I didn't have them when we had my daughter's Christening.

If you having other kids, don't forget to pick up a few things to keep them busy. The dollar stores has fun toys for that (bubbles, bat & ball, crayons & colloring book, etc.)

  2. That sounds like more than enough. When my boy was baptized I had a little party in the church basement and had mini quiches, rolls and danishes and donuts, juice and coffee, and people commented on how elegant it was.

  3. Yes, why not get balloons & banners if you want to...after all it is a celebration.

Here are some good sites to get some ideas:

    www.giantpartyshop.com

    www.greatlittleparties.co.uk

    www.monsterparties.co.uk

    www.partypieces.co.uk

    www.partydirect4kids.co.uk

  4. Yes I think you should get banners and balloons! We had two great parties after our children were christened!
