The Ajax Amsterdam midfielder has expressed confidence that Denmark will survive group stages at EURO 2012.

However, the Danish sensation has pointed out that the Red and Whites can surprise their tough opponents in the group stage and asserted that his side will do its utmost to make progress.
“I am really looking forward to Euro 2012. We have a really tough group, with three amazing opponents. We will see how far we can go and how good we are. We did well in the qualification campaign, so we have confidence”, Eriksen was quoted as saying to Goal.com
The Danish Dynamites were drawn in the group H of the qualifiers, alongside http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cyprus-c2881. To their credit, they performed impressively and finished at the summit of the group with an overall record of 8 played, 6 won, 1 drawn and
1 lost.
Eriksen insisted that his side managed to defeat the Portuguese earlier in the qualifiers and they can certainly replicate their performance in the main competition this summer.
“We already beat Portugal before, and we hope we can do it again, and perhaps have a bit of luck against the other teams”, the Danish International added.
The 20-year-old then went on to reveal that the Oranje are confident of beating Denmark.
“Am I taking a lot of stick from the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 internationals at Ajax? Of course. They think that they will beat us and qualify for the next round. But I think that we can defeat them”, Eriksen concluded.
The Amsterdammers star has been in phenomenal form since the start of the ongoing 2011/12 campaign. The versatile midfielder has thus far netted five goals while setting up an impressive 14 more in 23 Eredivisie appearances.
