Ajax Amsterdam star midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Eriksen-c9074, has long been linked with a move away from Amsterdam Arena to join a top European club.
However, the 20-year-old’a agent, Martin Schoots, has now made it clear that his client does not intend to leave the Amsterdam giants at this stage of his career.
“There a lot of clubs who have asked about Christian's situation, some very seriously, but Christian never thought about switching clubs too seriously”, Schoots was quoted as saying to Tipsbladet.
Manchester United, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, all have expressed keen interest in acquiring the services of the highly talented midfielder.
However, the gifted playmaker recently expressed his desire to stay at Amsterdam Arena for another couple of seasons, and his representatives has now also poured cold water on all the interested parties by stressing that his client is only focusing to develop
his skills further at Ajax.
“Eriksen is currently fully focused on his development at Ajax. That is the only important thing right now”, Schoots concluded.
The 20-year-old, who came through the ranks of the Amsterdammers fabled youth academy, started his professional career in the 2010/11 season. However, he did not waste any time in making headlines for all the good reasons, while cementing his place in the
starting XI.
The Danish sensation has thus far represented the 31-time Dutch champions in 83 Eredivisie games, netting 15 goals while amassing an impressive 31 assists along the way.
Eriksen has an ongoing contract at Amsterdam Arena that runs until the end of the 2013/14 campaign. However, reports indicate that the Ajax management will be offering the youngster a new deal that will prolong his stay at De Joden.
Although, it might seem like that the Danish international would not be leaving the Amsterdammers in the upcoming winter transfer window, an exit at the end of the ongoing season cannot be ruled out, as several top notch clubs are seriously interested in
luring the youngster away from Amsterdam Arena.
