The Danish sensation has been linked with moves to AC Milan, Manchester United and Arsenal, but the 20-year-old’s agent Martin Schoot has made it clear that his client does not intend to leave the Eredivisie champions.
Christian Eriksen's agent, Martin Schoot, has insisted that his client will not leave Eredivisie champions, Ajax Amsterdam, in the upcoming summer transfer market.
The youngster’s agent has made it clear that his client wants to stay at Amsterdam Arena for at least another full season to further develop his skills before making his dream move to one of the elite European clubs.
The 20-year-old, who started his professional career at De Joden in the 2010/11 season, has been monitored by a host of top European clubs including the likes of AC Milan, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and Manchester United.
With several top flight clubs interested in acquiring the Danish ace’s services in the upcoming summer transfer window, it was widely expected that the highly-talented midfielder would be leaving the Amsterdam giants this summer.
However, Schoot’s statement has now poured water on all the interested clubs, who were looking to lure the youngster away from Amsterdam Arena before the start of the 2012/13 campaign.
“The timing is not right as Christian needs to continue to grow in his game at Ajax. Milan is a very interesting club and a big step forward, but I do not know if he is ready for such an important and great club yet”, Schoot was
quoted as saying to the Danish media.
Eriksen, who has thus far represented De Joden in 76 matches, has been instrumental in the Amsterdammers’ Eredivisie triumph this season.
Netting seven goals while amassing an impressive 17 assists in 32 appearances, the 20-year-old has without a doubt played an integral role in his side’s phenomenal performances.
The Danish sensation has an ongoing contract with Ajax that will keep him at Amsterdam Arena until the summer of 2014. Pundits suggest that the young midfielder must continue developing his skills in Amsterdam for at least another
two years before joining one of the top European clubs if he desires to enjoy success at any level in the seasons to come.
