The Schalke defender would not part ways with the club at the end of this season despite interest from Barcelona.

However, Fuchs’ agent Thomas Bohm stated that there has been no contact from the La Liga outfit. He mentioned that it is an honour for his client to be linked with the European champions but insisted that there has not been an
official approach for the left-back. He also advised Fuchs not to think too far ahead and concentrate on his Schalke career.
Bohm admitted that Fuchs is excited after learning of the interest from the Catalan giants. He insisted that the Austrian is keen to continue playing in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 if the Catalonians
approach the Gelsenkirchen bosses in the near future.
While talking to Kurier, the agent further added: "I've heard nothing and I cannot imagine [it's true]. But it says a lot about Christian's strengths that he is being mentioned in a major newspaper from Barcelona as a candidate
[to succeed Abidal]."

goal in return.
Schalke are currently fourth in the Bundesliga with 50 points and Fuchs will next be seen in action against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, March 24, at the Veltins-Arena.
