The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Lorient-c39153 coach has slammed the cash-laden club from Paris claiming that they are a danger to world football and are ruining the beauty of the sport
The 57-year-old has lashed out at PSG’s transfer activities claiming that they are jeopardising the integrity of the game.
Paris Saint-Germain are spending madly in the transfer market ahead of the new season and have acquired the services of some top brass players recently.
After securing the signature of highly-rated Argentine international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 from AC Milan. The Brazilian, who is considered by many as one of the best defenders in the world
at the moment, has joined the Ligue 1 club for 42 million Euros.
However, Paris Saint-Germain have not stopped there. The cash-laden club have made a huge bid for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 and are in pole position to attain the services of the 30-year-old, who has expressed his willingness to sign for the
French club.
This is something that displeases Christian Gourcuff, who feels that this is unfair to other clubs who cannot match PSG financially.
While talking to reporters, the former Stade Rennes coach stated that clubs like Paris Saint-Germain are a danger to world football. Wealthy owners, who know nothing about football, are ruining this beautiful game.
"This is a big problem in world football; clubs are now living through the provision of patrons.”
Gourcuff, the father of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yoann-Gourcuff-c37416, believes that such clubs do not care about the league they are playing in, they just play for themselves.
"This is a danger to football. Paris [Saint-Germain] do not inject funds directly into French football. We have to talk about financial balance.”
The Lorient coach feels that French football needs a lot of improvement and they should follow the way football is run in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904. The Frenchman praised the way German football has stayed competitive and economically stable over the years.
"The model [we must follow] is the German one, in both a sporting and economic sense."
Lorient survived relegation after finishing just one point above the relegation zone in 2011/2012 campaign and this is something Gourcuff would want to avoid next season.
