Christian Horner appreciates the efforts of the Red Bull team – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing’s team principal, Christian Horner, has appreciated the efforts of all the members of the team stating that they are big part of the team’s success.
“The reason this team is so successful is because of the spirit within the team. The way that we work as a team, the way that we work as one unit,” Horner said. “There are so many heroic stories this year of people going beyond what they are asked of to
deliver, to get performance from the car, to get components to the circuit, to get development into the windtunnel, to hit all of those targets.”
He insisted that what is displayed during the race on each Sunday is just a small part of the massive work the team does all over the weekend. He said that the team’s and Sebastian Vettel’s three consecutive championships would not have been possible without
the continuous commitment of the Red Bull staff.
Red Bull won their third consecutive constructors’ title this year and that too in the penultimate race of the season. The team has now become the fourth team in the history of F1 to achieve three titles in a row.
On the other hand, Vettel once again fought for the championship against Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso; the first rivalry had taken place in 2010 F1 season when Vettel won his first title. However, unlike before, the odds were in Vettel’s favour this year although
no one had expected him to win given his struggling with the RB8 in the beginning of the season. Alonso dominated the first half of the season but Vettel took the lead away from him during the second half maintaining it successfully right until the season
finale in Brazil. The Red Bull driver defeated Alonso by three points.
After his win, Vettel stated that winning for the third time is unbelievable and that while his rivals tried to play many ‘dirty tricks’, the team kept its focus on their own work and development. He also admitted that winning each year is becoming more
and more difficult. Vettel has also hailed Red Bull’s chief technical officer, Adrian Newey, saying that it is incredible to work with him.
