Christian Horner says, Sebastian Vettel has to stay cool: Formula 1 News
Red Bull Racing's Chief, Christian Horner, has said that the team's driver Sebastian Vettel has to stay cool on the grid and just get the benefit of his experience over the further few races of the remaining 2011 season.
Horner believes that his strong driver Vettel is racing better than last year. After winning the ‘Drivers World Title' in 2010, the current world champion is willing to win this year’s title too, because he considers that he has much experience about how
to manage any critical situation during the race.
The team principal discussed the recent Turkish race. He said that no doubt, Vettel was really very impressive on the grid and even is the reigning world champion of Formula 1, but Vettel never found racing a pressure.
The German driver is fully experienced with the various set of tyres’ working. Horner said, “We have made a good step forward this weekend. We had a trouble free run with Seb and we had one small issue with Mark (Webber) because he was pushing the system
pretty hard when he was racing Fernando (Alonso).”
He went on to add, “But definitely modifications have been made as we have learned more about the technology, and it has definitely paid dividends this weekend. I think that Sebastian has just got the benefit of experience now. He is enjoying that and he
is in phenomenal form. He has a good understanding of how the tyres work, what he needs from them and what they need.”
After a successful start in 2011 season, the 23-year-old driver left an excitement in his wake, since he wins his third race victory in Turkish race weekend, after the Australia and Malaysia race.
Red Bull was happy, as they were confident that now they are out of any KERS issue, which the drivers had in first three races of the season, held in Melbourne, Sepang and Shanghai, respectively.
After his current success in Turkey, Vettel is looking forward to another race victory in Spain race, which is to be held in the last week of May.
