Question:

Christian Liberty Academy?

I am wondering if any of you out there have heard of or use the curriculum for Kindergarten from

Christian Liberty Academy http://www.homeschools.org/. If so, what is your

opinion. Thanks

  1. We used Christian Liberty when we started home schooling.  It isn't a bad program, but we found it to be very dry and boaring.  Just a lot of workbook learning.  If you are someone who needs a lot of structure it isn't bad, but it is very inflexible.  In the end we ended up mostly doing "unschooling".  My sister used Christian Liberty for both her boys all the way through school and they had a good deal of success.


  2. I looked at it six years ago when doing curriculum research and it was too conservative for me, didn't have enough variety in teaching/learning methods, wasn't broad and deep enough, and too expensive for the benefits.  Also, my son placed really high into their curriculum at age 4...that was a big red flag for me.
