Christian Lind Thomsen advances into Men’s Singles second round at Bitburger Open GP Gold
Denmark’s talented shuttler Christian Lind Thomsen started his campaign well and advanced into Men’s Singles second round after defeating Sweden’s Gabriel Ulldahl at the first round clash in Bitburger Open GP Gold 2012 on Tuesday, October 30, in Germany.
The in-form Lind Thomsen, who is un-seeded shuttler in the Men’s Singles draw of the tournament, played with tremendous speed and precision on court and registered victory over Gabriel in a dominating manner.
Danish shuttler made the best use of his highly elevated skills on court and remained successful in winding up the contest in straight games with a decent total on score board by taking 43 minutes on court.
In the meanwhile, Gabriel also put up strong show as he played with wonderful speed and matched the skills of his rival but he could not create pressure on his Danish opponent in the ending points and eventually lost the battle in straight games with a close
margin on score board.
Lind Thomsen showed a wonderful aggression on court from the starting points of first game and created a huge pressure on his Swedish challenger.
Danish player proved his elevated craft on court and remained successful in taking a strong position in the arena.
Until the end of starting half, the in-form Lind Thomsen achieved stayed in control but could not create any considerable gap on score board as his opponent was also in remarkable form.
After the one-minute break, both players showed a strong fight and reached at 23-23 when Lind Thomsen played tricky shots and won the set with a dramatic 25-23 score on the board.
Lind Thomsen did not lose his superiority in the following set as he continued playing attacking and positive badminton and remained in commanding position.
Until the end of first half, Danish shuttler stayed consistent in playing positive badminton and managed to remain ahead on score board.
Lind Thomsen continued playing positive and smart badminton and ultimately won the second set with a three-point margin of 21-18.
The impressive Danish player emerged as victorious in the final battle when he toppled his opponent with a 25-23 and 21-18 margin on the board.
