Christian Nerlinger: Bayern Munich can afford to buy but ill-afford to sell – Bundesliga News
Bayern Munich sporting director Christian Nerlinger has claimed that the Reds can ill-afford to sell any of their players but will certainly buy a few. He was talking ahead of his team’s clash against Hoffenheim.
Nerlinger told that the Bavarian giants are looking to upgrade their squad in order to add extra venom in an already formidable set-up. He reckons that the Reds are unbeatable at the moment and there is no reason to let any player depart from Allianz Arena.
The sporting director hoped of regaining the Bundesliga crown this season, after breathtaking performances since the opening week defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach. Nerlinger has also tipped Bayern as one of the favourites for this year’s UEFA Champions
League especially after having made a winning start against Villarreal and Manchester City.
While talking to a local website regarding Bayern’s transfer policy, Christian told, “Our economic foundation is so fantastic that we have no need to sell players. We need to be constantly successful. It cannot be that Bayern lag behind after every tournament.
We need to increase the quality here every season and be well prepared now that we are coming to Euros.”
He also reserved praise for manager Jupp Heynckes, whose immaculate coaching skills have enabled the Reds to sit pretty above all. Bayern are currently leading the Bundesliga flight with 19 points from eight games
The German giants are also atop Champions League Group A with six points from two games. They defeated Villarreal in the opening game away from home and followed that win with the prized scalp of Manchester City at Allianz Arena.
With already over a 50 million Pounds spent during summer, the Bavarians are keen on adding extra depth to their squad. It is believed that Bayern will add one or two new faces during the upcoming winter transfer window as they have been showing interest
in Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze and Borussia Monchengladbach’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733.
