The Bayern Munich sporting director is elated with the team’s stunning performances of late and has insisted that the team is on the right track.
The Bavarian giants have won three games in a row after the defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the league. The victories have been big wins as Bayern got the better of Hoffenheim, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Basel-c39079 and Hertha Berlin, scoring a staggering 20
goals in the process.
Nerlinger is ecstatic after the 6-0 win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Toni-Kroos-c35425 scored a goal each as the visitors
secured all three points.
The chief admitted that the Munich giants have responded brilliantly to the criticism in the past few weeks. He insisted that the former German champions can go a long way this season if they continue to play the way they have
been recently.
“I'm really thrilled. That was a truly impressive performance from the very first second on. We played outstanding football on an extremely difficult surface. If we can keep playing with such focus and conviction, we're certainly
heading in a terrific direction,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to Bayern’s official website.
On the other hand, Jerome Boateng expressed his pleasure over the impressive performance. He claimed that the team had a lapse in concentration for 15 minutes but recovered very well to leave no chance for the home side.
The former Hamburg player hailed his teammates for performing impressively both in attack and defence and is confident of a tough battle for the Bundesliga title.
“We started really well and scored three early goals. We were careless for 15 minutes after that and Hertha had two or three good chances, but overall we can be very pleased with the match. We worked hard as a team in defence and
attack,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich will next face http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hannover-96-c39492 in the Bundesliga on Saturday, March 24, at the Allianz Arena. Jupp Heynckes’ side are still five points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund.
