The former Bayern Munich midfielder has urged the Reds to take one game at a time and insisted that the team has to continue winning.
Christian Nerlinger is confident that Bayern Munich can secure silverware by the end of this season with the amount of quality they possess in their ranks. He mentioned that the players need to keep a cool head in order to end
this campaign on a successful note.
The 39-year-old was talking in the wake of Bayern’s 2-1 win over Hannover at the weekend. He expressed his pleasure with the way things have been going for the Reds in recent weeks and urged them to concentrate on winning the remaining
games.
Nerlinger claimed that no one can question Bayern’s quality and character. He referred to the club’s past five results in all competitions where the Bavarians have scored 22 goals conceding two in return.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 international insisted that the Reds could even gain maximum points from their remaining seven games if they keep their composure and continue playing in the same manner.
While talking to a local sports publication, Kicker, Nerlinger further added:
"It's laughable to question the quality or the character of this team. We have an excellent team that is capable of achieving a lot. We have to keep up our current level in the decisive stage of the season in order to enjoy a great
year."
On the other hand, Nerlinger also commented on Bayern’s treble chances this season. He reckons that Jupp Heynckes’ men could still possibly win all the three major trophies this term but advised them not to think too far ahead.
"There has been too much talk about possibly winning the treble right from start of the season, and during the winter break in particular. That's not the way forward," Nerlinger concluded.
