Christian claims rematch for World title via court – Bret Hart on Friday Night SmackDown segment
The former World Champion, Christian demanded a rematch for World Heavyweight Title against The Viper, Randy Orton with the court order. The WWE Hall of Famer, Bret Hart, “The Hitman” also appeared during Friday Night SmackDown segment tonight in his hometown
Alberta, Canada.
The Hitman acted as the Special Guest General Manager for the SmackDown segment. After the announcement of Mark Henry vs. Sheamus main event fight, Bret Hart’s music hit and The Hitman made his way towards the ramp among the ovation of his hometown crowd.
Bret told WWE Universe that The SmackDown General Manager, Theodore Long was not there due to some unforeseen circumstances so he was acting as the Special Guest General Manager for the current segment. He announced that Henry and Orton would face each other
in the World Championship match in the Super SmackDown segment on upcoming Tuesday.
Soon after the announcement, Christian’s music interrupted the guest GM. Christian came out and said that he wanted to inform the whole world that it was not his fault to lose the championship at SummerSlam. Christian blamed the friend of Bret, Edge of his
loss and said that he could not concentrate in the fight due to words said by Edge to him. The former World Champion said that he wanted the championship match at Super SmackDown as he had rematch clause for himself. Captain Charisma handed a paper to Hart
where it was mentioned that Christian could have the match for World title before the Number one contender.
Bret read that paper and said that he could not fight against law therefore; Christian would face Orton at Super SmackDown. The guest GM announced that Christian will face Orton in a steel cage instead of Henry. The World’s Strongest Man also interrupted
and spoke that he was being disrespected by the GM. Henry said that if he gets angry, he will not be responsible of his acts. Sheamus also interrupted Henry and introduced himself. Afterwards, it was announced that Henry would face the winner of World title
in the following segment. The Celtic Warrior Sheamus also won the main event against Henry via count out but he was brutally assaulted by the World’s Strongest Man after the match.
