  1. I believe he could have stayed in NZ for a few more years and excelled in the All Blacks. Pity Mitchell had a thing against him

  2. definately.  He was far and above the form fullback in the year he missed out for the first time, the thing is, he and John Mitchell did not get along at all.  So Johnny Boy dropped him and he went to Munster.  Then Mitchell was dropped as ABs coach a year later, I'm surprised he didnt try and come back.

Christian Cullen, in my opinion, was the best finisher in the sport.

  3. No he played about the right amount of games.

  4. yes but i think he definitely should have played more games for us at Munster he had a load of injuries and we barley ever got to see him play. i wish we got to see a lot more of him  as he was a phenomenal player

  5. YES he should have  played in 2003 WC for NZ........

    To NZ Joker ...........

When CC was dropped by  Mitchel in 2003 world cup year .......... he was the top try scorer in super 12........... not Muliaina nor McDonald were even close to him that year.........

Also that the single reason I stop watching ABS and now support SA..........

NZ public talk AB up and then when they crush and burn in WC everyone goes like WHAT HAPPEN........... I TELL U WHAT HAPPENS WHEN U DON"T BRING UR BEST PLAYERS HOW ARE U EXPECTING TO WIN????

  6. Yes He is believed by many to have been the most talented Rugby player of all time.

Nobody, could be as devestating on attack, nor as solid on defence as him.

Although Mitchell was in charge when he was dropped, it is strongly believed that the real a***e behind his axing was Robbie Deans ,to slot in his Cantabury mates.

Maybe the reason why most don`t give a toss about Deans coaching Aussie.....they deserve  each other.

  7. One of the greatest ever attacking full backs, but at the time Leon McDonald and Mil's Mulliena were in good form and still are today. Was treated pretty badly by the All Black management at the time

  8. Quick answer, h**l Yes.  Cullen was the best Fullback ever produced by NZ, he influenced games so much, he wasn't old, unfit or even injury prone when he departed NZ Shores.  He is the only guy I've ever seen play his last game with a large crowd in attendance and then when he was subbed off with a few minutes to go got a standing ovation and they halted the game for the standing ovation.  Never again has this ever been done in NZ Rugby since.
