Christian girls, would you date an atheist guy?

I go to this thing called the Baptist Student Ministry on my college campus. I am an atheist, (used to be christian...) but I have tons of christian friends. Anyway, last night I noticed this one girl starring at me. She even did a double-take...and a third and fourth. I went over to where she was at and started talking to the girls she was talking with...because I already knew those girls. Anyway, the girl who was my target, was laughing at my jokes. It is very safe to say she likes me. However...I need to know...would a freshman girl in college who is a christian ever date an atheist guy? By the way, everyone there thinks I am still a christian, but I am not anymore. And christian girls, what woul you do if you started dating a guy who you thought was christian, but then he told you he was atheist? Would you still date him, even if you still liked him because he was a really funny and nice guy and treated you right? Or should I not even bother?

  1. why tha f**k should it make a difference surly in ur gods eyes it natural for any man and f**kin woman to get together....

  2. depends on how liberal or conservative the girl is and if religion is kept out of the relationship. i take my faith seriously, but I am considered liberal. i've clashed before with a guy who was very liberal to the point that our views were so different we couldn't agree. we clashed a lot. i don't mind dating a non-christian, but religion would either have to stay out of the relationship, or they'll have to be a lot of compromising. BUT i prefer NOT to date someone who is athiest and someone who ATLEAST believes in a God.

  3. A true christian would not exclude anyone because of their religion.

  4. My faith is the most important part of my life and determines in large part who I am so, no, I can not date someone who doesn't believe in a higher power, whatever they call it.  It's just too hard to share in the way that means the most to me.  be honest about where you stand when it comes to relationships, it's not a little detail to update later once she already is attached to you.  you'll both end up being hurt if you hold back that you're an atheist.

  5. I have dated an atheist guy before and I'm catholic. It clashes too much! Worse relationship ever.

  6. I think you should be honest with her either way. If you start dating and she finds out, she's going to be mad. She'll know you were hiding it on purpose. Unless she is a very liberal Christian, she probably won't be cool with the idea of dating an atheist.
