Hello and please name any kind of Christian rituals!! Rituals that are done before needed sin or whatever is needed. Prayer rituals or something like that!

Thank You and God Bless You

Ritual can be any kind from low to very high that goes up to injuring myself or making sacrifaces.

For The God whose son is Jesus of course!

Thank you all!

  1. self-inflicted punishment is NOT Biblical and should never, EVER be done.

Kat - Read my email yet?  I'm not a "die hard  Bible thumper" per say, I'm in the RCIA program to be a Catholic.  But thank you for finding something that we can agree upon!  ((Kat))  It's always good to find common ground with people.  And I chose my name because I loved Tolkien's books and I wanted something with "wife" in the title.

  2. about the asus eee..yes the user account password..i think i got it wrong..i cant use my pc..what shout i do???

  3. I don't think there are many. Christianity has to be one of the easiest religions to follow. Worst pain, you have to go onto your knees for a bit a couple of times a year. Muslims do a similar thing at least once a week.

  4. We have two basic rites, the Holy Communion, called the Lord's Supper in some churches, and baptism, done either by total immersion or by sprinkling.

Self mutilation, which used to be called "mortification of the flesh" did used to be common, but no one does that now, and no church that I know of still preaches it. It is not scriptural, in case you were wondering.

To get a full run down of rites and practices, look into either the Catholic or Episcopal churches.

  5. A very degrading ritual among Christians in kneeling, bowing ones head, clasping ones hands in an act of desperation or forgiveness.

Christianity is a religion for the pitiful at heart. It's perfect for people with low self worth and low self esteem.

A strong & healthy human being does not bow in servitude or plead for worthiness.

The strong and able rise to the occasion & actively pursue their aspirations & achieve them with pride - knowing all the while THEY (not god) alone accomplished them.

  6. There is nothing you can do to cleanseyourself of sin other than accepting the shed blood of Jesus Christ once and for all on the cross 2,000 years ago. You cannot injure yourself or make sacrifices to get rid of your sin. Read chapters nine through 12 in the book of Hebrews. This will explain why what you believe (as well as many churhces, esp. the Catolic and Orthodox) is wrong, a terrible heresy.

There is only one sacrifice for sins: the shed blood of Christ on Calvary's tree.

  7. One ritual they practice regularly is annoying non-Christians by telling them they have to believe in Jesus or be condemned to everlasting h**l.  They have this strange notion that after creating humankind God is merciless and will confine all non-Christians to h**l.  Ask an Israeli about his relationship with God and he will tell you that Israelites are the chosen ones.

  8. You are some kind up screwed up potential Christian. They don't do the self flaggelation, or sacrifices. (Well, the way you phrased it.)

Edit - Holy c**p, first time I've ever agreed with Ent Wife. (Btw, your name, that's rather borderline for a die hard bible thumper, is it not? Ents are majickal and all.)

You sent an email to this account? Oh dear. I only use it for Answers these days. I can check it out though.

  9. The Lord's prayer is a ritual. Communion is a ritual. The Catholics are the ones to look at when it comes to ritual. Try to find the whole process of Pope John Paul's funeral. It's days worth of rituals.

  10. Well, there's always human sacrifice - such as that practiced upon the night they founded the Dominican Order.
