"Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God…Woe to you who are rich, For you have received your consolation"; and,"Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. "Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."; and, "Sell your possessions and give to charity; make yourselves money belts which do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near nor moth destroys." (Luke 6:20, 24; Matt. 19:23-24; Luke 12:33)

  1. it isnt necessary or wrong...Billy Graham refuses to take more than 75 grand a year....its wisdom inmo

  2. It is a guide line (path) to see who is who! To see who has good compassion for their fellow man, to see what they value more, comfort of money, or comfort of their fellow humans! But also, we are not to be lazy of the body or lazy of the mind, the mind being most important first! What you do to a mortal body, you do to me also(SPIRIT OF GOD) which dwells in all people, not in buildings made by the hands of mankind! Watch and pay attention, and you could see the building of the NEW Jerusalem?

  3. There's nothing wrong with being rich, so long as it is not your priority, and as a christian, a rich person should use his wealth to help people, like setting up homeless shelters, soup kitchens, sending humanitarian aid, stuff like that.

Although you can tell, the more famous you are in the world, the stronger the temptation to turn from God.

  4. If God blesses someone with the brains and ambition to make money- great!

It's what we do with that money that counts.  One can have a lot of money and still be miserable, too.

A Christian looks to God for their joy- not their money, which can vanish overnight.

  5. in fact Abraham, David, Solomon, and Job was rich. to be rich is good but to be rich and faithful is better. the poor put their hope to god more than the rich, so the rich should share with other in order to obtain the unfailing treasure in heaven.

if somebody is rich by corrupting money, robbing, or by doing thing which is not morally right, then this" gain I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God" is a correct verse for them.

if somebody wanted to sell all his possession and follow his God, then it would be great.  many people had done it in the past, but I don't think that anybody capable of doing that right now.

  6. the rich man gave money to the plate then the elderly woman gave only 1 danari i think it was but Jesus said look who gave the bigger sacrifice? GOD demands mercy not burnt offerings, ultimately the things we do (ceremonial rituals etc) are demonstartion of the heart, are you gonna be able to offer some bum a cup of coffee this up coming winter or you just gonna smirk and walk by but still make it to that sunday service and say thank you GOD for blessing me but not the bum? grnated he made his choice to be a bum but every one is being tested at the heart... GOD tests not tempts...

  7. It's not about what you have, it's about your willingness to share what you've been blessed with.

  8. *yawn*

if against material wealth why is the armor in your picture made of gold

Get ye that log from within thine eye before thou persues to remove yon toothpick from mine eye
