Which requires a simple yes or no answer; scripture says 'let your yes be yes, and your no be no.' (Although, shame on me, I have forgotten where this verse is.)

Our Lord Jesus said:

"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength."

Mark: 12.30.

This kind of love means too love in the real sense of that word 'love.' Which is very different from human love. It is 'Christ Love.' This kind of love; to love with all you have, is an extremely intense love. It is second by second love; minute by minute; hour by hour; day by day; week by week; month by month, year by year, year in and year out.

So, remembering that we our 'human,' answer the following question with a yes or a no; with no explanation. Be honest, and remember we are human with all the failings that go with our species.

Question:

Can you love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength."

Second by second; minute by minute; hour by hour; day by day; week by week; month by month, year by year, year in and year out?

  1. Yes

  2. Not I, but Christ in me.  Sorry for the lack of a single yes, or no, but it isn't that simple.

Your scripture is 2nd Cor 1:17, which is why it couldn't be answered with yea or nay, "...the things that I purpose, do I purpose ACCORDING TO THE FLESH, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?"

  3. no, but i try.

  4. Yes. :)
