Question:

Christians, do you believe there will be a Rapture?

I'm sure this question has been asked a lot here. I am just curious to know your point of view on this subject, since the Bible doesn't really touch on it.

I know the verses about being caught up in the air and scripture in Revelation where God says He will keep us from the hour of trial that will fall upon the earth - but do you feel those are pertaining to the Rapture?

I guess more specifically, where do you see Christians in the prophetic timeline?

Thanks.

  1. Hello, TX:

Yes, the resurrection of the righteous dead and living is my greatest hope.

Jesus said the time is coming when all will hear the voice of the Son of Man and be raised. Those who have done good to the resurrection of the righteous, and evil to the resurrection of damnation.

So there are two resurrections, you will want to be with the righteous.

The word "rapture" is a misnomer. Rapture is a state of ecstasy; whereas "resurrection" means to be caught up.

When is it coming?  Well it will be sooner than most expect as the world will be crying "peace and safety" and not know sudden destruction is upon them.

The Bible code gives the exact date for the end of this conflict between good and evil. You need read all five chapters of http://abiblecode.com

Shalom, peace in Jesus, ben Yeshua

  2. Personally, I don't think God is going to let us off that easy.  We have too much to repent and we're not doing a very good job.

  3. John's Revelations pertain to his time and that is all.  The Bible says nothing about a rapture or even about Christ's second coming other than that it will occur, we don't know when and we should remain ready and not worry about it.

  4. hmmm.... No. The rapture is a myth trying to scare folks into becoming Christian for the sake of their eternity.  And guess what it worked back in the day.  Now as most of us get smarter questions are being asked about it. Hardcore believers say of course but guess what let's grow up and use OUR heads not that of an uneducated nomad.  Give me a break everybody Christianity just keeps contradicting itself.  One bible verse claims God loves you.  The next one says that because uve got a silly crush on your neighbors wife ur goin straight to h**l.  Wouldn't it be nicer to have a God that actually doesnt seem like a mad demonic raging horrible being. Then I remind myself y agnosticism is the way to go.  THINK FOR YOURSELVES FOR ***** SAKE.

  5. I believe a pre tribulation rapture will occur.. Yes.  I am not exactly sure what you are asking as to where we Christians fall in the prophetic time line.. Perhaps the next time you could elaborate a bit more....Thanks... God bless !

  8. Yes!  ( 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18.)

  9. Rapture, Second Coming, Called Up, there are many different names for the same event as for christians being called before this great tribulation it is mentioned in book of Matthew: Jesus Christ said that immediately after " AFTER" he shall return in the clouds and the four angels etc.......

  10. Absolutely and unequivocally yes there will be Rapture.

  11. Yes, the Holy Bible does "touch" on it, but that is all.  It is not dramatic, it is not given either a lot of attention or detail.........but it definitely alludes too a rapture.............(some of this may be based on a preconceived idea or comfort zone)

Personally, I do think there will be a rapture, but I am not CONVINCED that it will be of the magnitude some suggest or include all that expect to be included.

I, do wonder, if I will make it myself...........

God did not spare the angels, why would He spare me?

It is not a simple issue, even though many take comfort in making it so!

  12. Christians are not in the prophetic time line. We are living in the age of grace and God is dealing with all people alike. We are also living when the the Nation of Israel has fallen and blinded. Romans 11: 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

The revelation of the mystery has been revealed and one of those mysteries is the catching out of the church (the body of Christ) before the prophesied event of Daniel seventh week starts. 1 Corinthians 15: 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, The next thing to happen to the church is it will be caught off the earth. 1 Thessalonians 4: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. The next thing to happen in the prophecy program is the great tribulation period before the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  13. I believe in JESUS second coming and the resurrection of the bodies.  But I think we cannot perceive the Rapture with our human mind, or take the literal meaning of words, for GOD's mind is not like ours.  His ways are mysterious.  When we see GOD, we'll be in ecstasy!  No joy on earth can compare, no human mind can understand.  If you've lived in a world that Time stops, or you've experienced to see your whole life put in front of you all together at the same time, like 40 years of your life recur in front of you in 10 seconds, you probably understand how it feels to see GOD.

I also think people might use Rapture for commercialism, like profiting from curiosity.  Rapture is for us to live a vigilant life, read the Bible, try to be like the disciples etc.

  14. Indeed the Bible DOES "touch on it."  It speaks of Yeshua/Jesus coming back in the clouds and "catching up" His people in the twinkling of an eye.  We are told to watch and wait, so we won't be caught by surprise.

    D1

  15. yeah

  16. yes

    It is a catching up.

Jesus talked about it matthew 24:36-44

It says one will be taken and one left of two people working side by side. The rapture will happen this way.

Nobody during the tribulation will be working side by side with a follower of Jesus. During the tribulation period Christians will be hunted down by the Antichrist because they will not worship him.

I believe with the signs that are here it is very close that with in about the next 25 years we will see the rapture and the tribulation. No I am not setting a date but God said we would see the signs and know.
