  1. God's glass is always full.

  2. John 3:3 Jesus replied, “I assure you: Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

3:4 “But how can anyone be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked Him, "Can he enter his mother's womb a second time and be born?"

3:5 Jesus answered, "I assure you: unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”

3:6 “Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

    (Holman Christian Std Bible)

I guess as long as a non-believer has to get out of the water, God sees his glass as only half full.

But as soon as he's out of the water, he's full of the Spirit, and his glass can never be more than half empty.

Christians, please pardon me for my weak analogy.

  3. God knows why the glass is at half.  He sees the tiny holes he drilled into the side of the dribble glass.

  4. Actually He see's the Glass Full !

He knows the end result !

  5. God is the glass, and it overflows

  6. God sees the glass as exactly what it is. He *is* truth. I think optimism has been really championed, but it's really no different than pessimism, since it doesn't have realistic expectations.

We *should* know that all things will work our for our good. But we shouldn't imagine that this means *earthly good*. The good referred to in that verse is our sanctification. If we expect otherwise we are likely to become deeply disillusioned.

  7. Neither. They ask their god to give them the answers, so in that case they never have a position either way.
