im 19 years old.

i have no medical insurance.

i have decided that if i have to go to the hospital and get an outrageous bill (actually all their "bills" to us poor people are outrageous) that i want to die rather than face bad credit for the rest of my life, for not making enough money to pay the "bill".

id just rather die than have bad credit start at the age of 19.

  1. hmm....first of all..you're being totally selfish!...you never know how many other people might just benefit from you're being around here,in ways you might never imagine!!....second...even in this day, a lot of hospitals will actually "write off:" bills of indigents,so being poor is no excuse...there are even ways of paying very little over time just to show you're trying in good faith to pay...and like someone said...bankruptcy is there for a reason!....your life is unique whether you think so or not.....don't give up.  I'll pray for your situation--just so you'll know 'someone' out there thinks you're worth it, even if you don't!

  2. Absolutely not.  You are a daughter of Heavenly Father, a special child to come in the last days to the earth, and are of great worth.

    29 And Enoch said unto the Lord: How is it that thou canst weep, seeing thou art holy, and from all eternity to all eternity?

    Moses 7:30

    30 And were it possible that man could number the particles of the earth, yea, millions of earths like this, it would not be a beginning to the number of thy creations; and thy curtains are stretched out still; and yet thou art there, and thy bosom is there; and also thou art just; thou art merciful and kind forever;

    Moses 7:31

    31 And thou hast taken Zion to thine own bosom, from all thy creations, from all eternity to all eternity; and naught but peace, justice, and truth is the habitation of thy throne; and mercy shall go before thy face and have no end; how is it thou canst weep?

    Moses 7:32

    32 The Lord said unto Enoch: Behold these thy brethren; they are the workmanship of mine own hands, and I gave unto them their knowledge, in the day I created them; and in the Garden of Eden, gave I unto man his agency;

    Moses 7:33

    33 And unto thy brethren have I said, and also given commandment, that they should love one another, and that they should choose me, their Father; but behold, they are without affection, and they hate their own blood;

  3. You're gonna miss out on all the food.......

    Take the credit. You might meet a nice, rich man..... who knows?

  4. Nope.  That is absolutely preposterous and totally wrong in the sight of scripture.

    Oh wait, you're trolling.  My bad.  Oops.

  5. Give your burdens to Jesus Christ.

    Who commits suicide over that? You need Him. Live for Him.

    That's horrible. Money should not come in between your spiritual relationship with God. Trust Him and He will provide.

    At the moment you're not trusting Him. Do something about that.

  6. That is insane.  Bad credit sucks, but it goes away after a few years.

  7. DNR is not the same as suicide, at all. It just means that you don't want "extraordinary" measures taken to bring your body back "from the dead". I understand your frustration, and am in a similar situation. I don't think there's anything wrong with having a DNR or deciding not to prolong a miserable existence due to disease or horrendous injury, but suicide is not a great option. That causes unnecessary suffering for family and friends, if nothing else.

  8. It is downright irresponsible to go through life without insurance.

    Your life is a gift from God and you should do your best to live that life as long as possible, working for God as much as you can.

    For another thing, with no health insurance I guess you have no life insurance either, which meant you will just be leaving your relatives with a ton of debt--sounds kind of selfish to me. Someone has to pay to bury you.

  9. So sad, you need to fight for free health care, America needs to put people above money. Just sad that people have to make these decisions at all.

  10. You have a lot of great questions. I don't quite understand why you are addressing it to Christians. Would an answer from a Jew, or Buddhist, or other religion not be satisfactory, or at least worth reading? Assuming it would, I can share with you that when I was exactly your age, I spent 2-1/2 months in ICU with lung failure. There were many nights that I prayed (I was definitely a Christian then, now I'm something less easy to define, but I believe even more strongly in the power of prayer) that I would not have to see another day. I wanted to stop the pain, the meds, the needles, etc. But I guess my heart of hearts really wanted to live to see another day, another year, because almost 30 years later, I am healthy, happy, and so glad to have had that experience. It gave me the gift of no longer fearing death, and therefore, of appreciating life for what it is meant to be. I believe your hypothetical situation of wanting to die has nothing to do with money. It has to do with needing a spark in your life, a reason to look forward to tomorrow. We are here to experience the fullness of this human existence, and sometimes we have to go through difficult times in order to get to the next step. But your life is your own, no one else's. If you decided to end it today, for whatever reason, you would return to the state of pure love from which you came. The judgmental God is a creation of man. God is pure love, pure acceptance, pure joy. But why would you want to consider passing up all the great experiences that await you? They are there. You have only to open your heart to begin to find them.

  11. Ever heard of Bankruptcy?

  12. If you are a christian, then you should let go and let God. If your heavenly father can take of the birds of the field, how much more would he take care of his child. Bad credit comes and goes...

    Go on and LIVE this wonderful life he has given you and help others out in any way you can. And if you dont believe in God, its still good karma...

    Dont be selfish and think death will solve anything.

  13. Honey, do your best to get insurance. God wants you to be healthy :)
