It's where you no longer sense His presence or are aware of empowering grace. How did you resolve this?

  1. Yes, I was going through the biggest desert period of my life.  It felt like h**l even though I knew that God doesn't move away from us, it is us that moves.  I found out that h**l is separation from God.  It was knowing that I belong to Him, that kept me from doing something foolish.  It took a lot of time, but I came out of it a much stronger and wiser person.

  2. Even when times were at their worst in our relationship, I had the sense that I was wrong and God was right (humility in truth). I have been taught (knowledge), that the life with God is gained through faith (trust). In order to trust God, you need to pick something He said and trust Him for it. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

That's why it says in Psalms that blessed men go from faith to faith (Psalm 84:7). We have so many promises from Him. What we have to do is trust Him for them (Psalm 37:3-6). And I seem to only be able to handle a few promises at a time.

The realization that I am wrong, if anyone is wrong it's me, is sorrow.

But repentance is doing something about it. Repentance in this context is doing something about it. Repentance is turning from something, to something else. And for a Christian, repentance is turning from our ways to His ways. (It's not just something to do initially, but throughout our lives because the flesh contests with the Spirit).
