Christians, who designed AIDS?

And why did he design AIDS so that many children in Africa is born with it due to their parents? Why not make AIDS so it cannot affect innocent children?

I wish I had a good answer.

All I know is, God has prophesied that there would be pestilences. The word there means a disease which has somehow passed from animals to humans. This is unusual.

This does not appear to be an act of God, but rather a natural result of some action here. Something must have happened somewhere to cause this to enter mankind.

Anyone that has it, must already be aware that they can pass it on to others. The responsibility is within them to not pass it on. The responsibility for our behaviors rests completely within ourselves.

I have read of the situation there where you named, and my heart aches for them. It is too easy to find the hard things in life, and this epidemic I do pray may be stopped.

AIDS was not designed by anyone, it happens to be a disease and like all diseases it affects innocent people.  Since nobody made AIDS it would be impossible to make it in such a way as to not infect children.  Although I am a Christian I think this question is better asked of disease specialists if your asking how it got started, I'm not sure why you directed the question at Christians.

Yes, if AIDS is "punishment for sin" then newborn children should not have to be affected by it, for they have not even had a chance to sin.

i know our minds are extremely curious, and that its so easy to blame and be upset about something, but maybe its something not in God's doing. it could be satan, or maybe he just has a reason for it.

i choose just to trust him, and thank him daily for everything i have. because it's so much more than so many others have...

i want to make a change in this world. and i will. i want to help those kids, but i have to keep faith and trust in God doing so.

trust that if he can create something as complex as the human mind like we create robots, how complex is his mind? are we being silly asking these things? possibly...i supose we will not know about those kids with aids for a long long time. but when we do, know he'll forgive you for asking.

Read Horowitz  "Emerging viruses........"  It was developed at Fort Detrick Md.  And put in a vaccine.  There are no 'innocent children'.  That is a heathen concept.

The people of Africa would get the spread of AIDS in their country under control if they would stop living the way they are and follow the same hygiene laws the God Yahweh wrote for the Israelites to follow in the book of Leviticus. Until they do that God doesn't care how many of them die.

An excellent question!  Viruses evolve, as all "life" does here and are not partial in their ability to infect.  However, don't presume that these microbes that affect us adversely are the direct result of God's creation.  

Unfortunately, children born with an infection are this way because of the actions and choices of another.  All evil is the result of man exercising his free will at the detriment of others.

Simply put, we don't fully understand the origins of viruses (yet), but here's something to consider:  Everything in this universe is the product of thought.  Even our thoughts have the ability to create (the result is subtle here in the physical world).  Man has free will to create both positively and negatively.  Darwin's partner in the theory of evolution, Alfred Russel Wallace, believed that Evolution was, at times, influenced from a non-physical source.  Given this, consider that Man's negative thought has influenced these microbes into existence!  It's a difficult concept to grasp, but we have a long way to go before we can understand just how much influence we, and our thoughts, have in this physical world.

HIV/AIDS was not "designed".  HIV2 is closely related to SIV, the simian immune virus.  Some people in Africa eat monkey meat and also keep monkeys as pets.  Blood is also exchanged between hunted and hunter when monkeys are being hunted. It's highly probable that HIV/AIDS moved to human hosts as a result of this.

It cannot be spread through common human touching. It cannot be spread through spas, swimming pools or public bathrooms. The only was one can get the AIDS virus is through homosexual or heterosexual intercourse or through sharing a contaminated needle. These are the only way the virus can be spread.

   Now in light of what I posted above, what is the one "single" word that comes to mind when describing Aids and it's cause??  SIN!  God didn't design Aids. Aids was a direct result of sin. Sin that corrupted mankind to the point of judgement. I hate to break it to you, but no one is innocent. We are all born into sin and God makes that perfectly clear. There is none righteous, no not one.

  Blaming God for the sins of the world is blasphemous to say the least. God does not tempt with evil nor is He tempted of evil.  The following verses make it abundently clear that God does not cause Aides nor will He tempt anyone with evil. We brought on this destructive form of Aids through our blantant sin and rejection of Jesus Christ.

  James 1:13-15   "Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death."
