Christians: How can you be so sure of what you believe?

The only reason you believe you what you do is because your parents told you it was true and how is it right for someone to go to h**l when they were born into another religion and don't believe in your god because they were taught otherwise. How is it right for someone to go to h**l because they can't just blindly believe something that has no evidence that it exists? I am sorry if i offended you but I am really just wondering. I don't completely not believe in it but am quite doubting of it.

  5. It is the easiest thing in the world to be sure of your beliefs.

Bigots do it all the time.

  6. No, honey, my parents never told me what to believe, or what was the Truth.  I discovered it because God made Himself known to me PERSONALLY and without the help of family.  That is what has occurred with MOST believers.

And we know, without a doubt, that God exists.  Also, it has nothing to do with "converting."  It has to do with God making Himself known to us.  It's all the work of the Holy Spirit, not anything we do on our own.

May He make Himself known to you and bless your life!

  7. Um, I'm sorry but you've got it all wrong.  Maybe that's the case with the christians you've met, but most of us don't believe in God because our parents told us to.  Honestly we're not that stupid.  I defenitly questioned, I think we all do.  Sometimes I'm unsure about my faith, but that's only because I'm still learning about it.  But I believe nonetheless, through what I've experienced, what I've felt, how I've grown.  I know sometimes it's hard to believe when you can't see something, but that doesn't mean it isn't true.  Example: You might not have believed someone was injured because you didn't see it happen, but in fact that person did get injured.  It's not bad to doubt, to question.  You know, I think if you've really got these questions in mind you should try reading "The Journey"

  8. If you read the bible liek I do. You just know. God speaks to you(not like an actual voice) lol. But God has done amazing things and ive seen miracles take place in front of me. Im only 16 and I believe in God becaue ive seen his works not because i grew up that way. cuz i didnt not all my family is christian. God will do amazing things for you. your life will be completely changed. all you have to do is accept Him as your savior. Talk to someone. like a pastor or something. Go buy a bible and just spend time reading it. The book James is amazingg. then start with Matthew

    Hope it helps.

and i pray you give christianity a chance cuz you'll be amazed at the difference your life will have.

    :]

    God Bless You

  9. when you become a Christian, God comes into your spirit and resides there.  There is just a knowing that we can't explain.  You have to experience it for yourself.

God gives every person the opportunity (many, many) to accept Jesus.  He is always calling unto the unsaved to come to Him.  We have to make the choice to accept or reject Jesus, this is why it is a choice and if we choose not to serve Jesus, our destination is h**l.

  10. I'm a completely different religion than any of my family. Thus, your opening statement is a lie.I have studied and read the Bible cover-to-cover several times.I prayed to God asking for answers.I got the answers. So, I am in the " Truth" of God's Word. If we will but ask, God will answer.
