Question:

Christians: How can you support John McCain?

John McCain committed adultery while married to his first wife in 1979/1980, which is commandment number 7. He is on tape using the Lord's name in vain in March 2008, which is commandment number 3. His wife stole drugs from American Voluntary Medical Team, a charitable group that she headed. That defies commandment number 8. Those are just the Commandments that are confirmed.

Of course, all politicians violate Commandment 3 because they all think they are idols.

  1. There is not a Christian dog in this fight (other than palin).  They are supporting the one candidate that is claiming to support their traditional issues (abortion, military and defense, capitalism).

  2. where 2 begin on all of the biblical laws Obama has broken? and on top of the religious aspects, he betrays our nation by not acknowledging it...he hates america! what kind of american would want 2 leave our men and women in iraq 2 die by taking away money 4 weapons 2 defend themselves? what kind of american refuses 2 salute his country's flag or bow his head in prayer or put his hand over his heart or cite the plede of allegiance? what kind of american who claims 2 be christian is really a muslim who hates america?

and this is the man ppl want 2 run our country? do u really want 2 go there? b4 u throw religion in our faces do ur homework! mccain is going 2 win this election, not just b/c of the conservative christians, but b/c liberal democrats like him 2 and they see obama 4 the deceiver, liar, and cheat that he is!

  3. It's really very simple.  I just vote for him.  God Bless you.

  4. Yeah, but just look at our alternative.

  5. what a ignorant answer for the black house thing its funny to see such uneducated people

  6. Do you have proof of your allegations?  Or have you forgotten the president who had the White House intern under his desk in the Oval Office?

I will vote for the man I think will do the best job and is the most experienced.  From what I've seen so far, the Democrats haven't offered anyone to vote for.  So the Republican ticket is looking better and better.

    D1

  7. well im not for mccain or obama (i have yet to make up my mind)

but all i can say is that he, like palin and obama and everyone else is human...and since he is human he will do stupid and selfish things.

if u really look at it...what candidate, can actually say they havent broken a commandment or hasnt done something that doesnt look too good on a resume??? just cause he makes more money and is involved with politics doesnt mean he is excused from human mistakes.

  8. They're just doing what their preachers tell them to do.  Don't be so hard on them : )

  9. I do not support McCain, I am voting Libertarian as I almost always do, but I certainly trust McCain as president a lot more than I trust a verified liar.

  10. It is not about him personally but about the fact that I feel he is most likely to appoint pro life Supreme Court Justices. Personally I would rather have had Ron Paul.

  11. I've seen better class presidents, than any of these morons (running or winning) we've seen in recent years.

(I liked Mr. Clinton though, he did a good job & I think I would have liked to see what Mrs. Clinton could have done).

I don't know much about Mr. Obama, as I was liking Hillary, & I already know who McCain is, from before.

  12. Because the other guy violates the "Thou shalt not kill" commandment.

    Being pro-abortion is bad!

It takes one life often to convenience the other.

It is not pro choice, because only one out of the two people involved have a choice.

  13. i don't support mccain. for more reasons than his personal life.

  14. Oh, well, by all means, let me change my vote to Obama. hahaha

  15. Jesus himself made forgiveness the mark of a Christian (read the parable of the unmerciful servant).  It is in following our faith that we forgive others.  There is a difference between someone who asks forgiveness for breaking a commandment and someone who proudly stands against a commandment. Since life starts at conception abortion is the murder of a human being (if it is not human being then what is it?)  We have the choice between voting between a man whose policies would increase abortions (for us that means more babies murdered) and another man whose policies would be mean less abortions (ie less babies murdered).  The question is not how can we vote but how can we not vote.

  16. Why I AM voting for McCain...well...I don't see McCain okaying the murder of unborn babies or okaying infanticide.  I don't see him supporting g*y rights, or fighting against lowering gas prices, I do not see him denying his mistakes (he actually admits them and has said he was sorry for them serveral times, that takes a big man to do that), I don't see him supporting Arab terrorists and voting against Israel...I could go on, but I think I've made my point.  I'm not voting for McCain because I think he is flawless.  I'm voting for McCain because his views and morals are closer to mine then Obama's views and morals could ever be.  Plus McCain is a decorated veteran and war hero of our wonderful US Military.  I didn't see Obama make a stand to fight for America.  I've never seen Obama give any respect to America, her flag, her soldiers, or her citizens for that matter.

  17. Does the loving God they worship make them vote McCain? Weird!

  18. Yup I support McCain .

#1 reason  he is not a muslim

#2 He does not support abortion . It really pisses me off that Obama is all for abortion and  wants to force us tax payers to pay for killing a innocent baby.. That is JUST SICK!!

    Oh yeah did I mention I am a democrat..LOL

  19. I'm for Obama, but perhaps supporters of McCain have decided to vote for him because of what they feel he will do for the country, and NOT based on what he has done in his own life.  They only really have 2 choices, and perhaps they have decided that McCain is the one who will safeguard their values the best.  When it comes to politicians, too often we are left with trying to figure out which one is the lesser of the 2 evils.  (I'm not saying that Obama or McCain are evil, but just pointing out that we have to choose between what's available).

  20. The prohibition on idols / graven images is the second commandment, not the third.

  21. I am saddened to see that many of the responders to this question have been blindly believing rumors. One of the biggest lies being that Obama is a Muslim.

I am not big into politics, but I did feel the need to educate myself somewhat in light of the upcoming election. I wish others felt the same need to learn the FACTS rather than just believing every rumor and then spreading it.

"Senator Obama has never been a Muslim, was not raised as a Muslim, and is a committed Christian. Further, this myth perpetuates unfortunate falsehoods about the Muslim-American community that are offensive to people of all faiths."

Why don't we look up what the bible says about false gossip. Anyone spreading hate based on lies, or info they have not even nothered to confirm, should be ASHAMED of themselves.

But the traditional political slandering aside, let's look at an issue. McCain wants to lower gas prices.... by drilling for oil in animal preserves. Obama wants to lower gas prices.... by finding green alternatives to oil.

I have found Obama to be very forthright about what he does and does not believe in. In fact, his website is pretty darn open and detailed. McCain's was vague and mostly propaganda.

  22. Short Answer I cannot support McCain.

  23. Proof that people can't keep their noses out of other people's lives.

  24. I dont vote on moral issues.

I vote on the economy, border control, judges, foreign policy, you know important federal gvt issues.

There is no way I could ever vote for Obama based on those issues that are actually the job of the fed gvt.

  25. because we enslaved African Americans a while ago

  26. first of all he's not a christian because he doesn't live in it simple as that. second of all he is 33degree mason according the freemason's.club in which he practices many evil things and does many rituals. Therefor i don't vote for him either Obama.

  27. I'm a Christian and I really don't support anyone at all.

  28. It is unfair to say or suggest that because a person is christian they will vote for McCain. I am a christian, and I will end up voting for the candidate who best fills my criteria.

I don't want pretty words and promises

I want a president who wants whats best for the people,

to provide medical insurance and prescriptions for the elderly, disabled, the poor, and the hard working people who after paying rent and groceries can't afford to go to the doctor. I want the president who is going to make sure the elderly, poor, disabled, and the single parents aren't going to end up homeless and on the streets.  education for our kids. etc. and of course a president who has integrity.. I haven't made up my mind yet.
