What does the Bible say happens Last Judgment?

for ex. This is the description for Islam:

The signs of the Day of Judgment

Vivid Qur'anic description of the Day of Judgment

The blowing of the trumpet

The dead will be brought to life

The sun will be brought near

The balance sheet of deeds

Justice will be done

Allah will cover up shortcomings

The Bridge, the Scales and the Pond

Prophet Muhammad (may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) will intercede

People from his Ummah will intercede

Allah will shower His Mercy.

And Jesus will come back to take the worthy ones of the world.

So what does Christianity say in your book, I just wanna know?

  1. Read revalations..... it describes the sounds of the trumpets, which will release the horses . the anti-christ will come mimicking Jesus, ut he isnt..  locust will wonder the earth for a few months and torture unbelievers and those who arent saved. people will be trynna kill themselves but they cant. very tragic, but if you are saved and believe, then nothing will harm u.

  2. christianity is a very broad term. there are many different kinds of christian beliefs.

having said that......i will say....islam and christianity both have that same "Day of Reckoning" theme going on.

  3. It is not a day to be dreaded or feared. Note what the Bible says of God: “He has set a day in which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed.” (Acts 17:31) This judge appointed by God is, of course, Jesus Christ.

We can be sure that Christ will be fair and just in his judgment. A prophecy regarding him at Isaiah 11:3, 4 assures us of this. So, contrary to popular opinion, he will not judge persons on the basis of their past sins, many of which may have been committed in ignorance.

The Bible explains that at death a person is set free or released from any sins he has committed. It says: “He who has died has been acquitted from his sin.” (Romans 6:7) This means that when a person is resurrected he will be judged on the basis of what he does during Judgment Day, not on what he did before he died.

So before Judgment Day begins, this present system of things made up of “the earth and the heaven” will pass away. Only those serving God will survive, while all the wicked are destroyed at Armageddon.—1 John 2:17.

It is not a literal 24-hour day. The Bible makes this clear when it speaks of those who will share with Jesus Christ in doing the judging. (1 Corinthians 6:1-3) “I saw thrones,” the Bible writer says, “and there were those who sat down on them, and power of judging was given them.” These judges are Christ’s faithful anointed followers who, as the Bible goes on to say, “came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for a thousand years.” So Judgment Day will be 1,000 years long.

During Judgment Day those who survive Armageddon will work to make the earth a paradise. Into this paradise the dead will be welcomed back. (Luke 23:43) What happiness there will be when families long separated by death are joined together again!

During Judgment Day all the people will learn about Jehovah, and they will be given every opportunity to obey and serve him.

  4. The book of Life will be opened.  Those whose names are not found in the book of Life (believers in Christ) will be cast into the lake of fire.

dewey, I do not have it backwards.  please read Revelation 20:15.

  5. Christ will return as King of kings as warring nations will surround Israel and those nations will fight against Christ.

Christ says if those days were not cut short then no flesh would survive.

  6. Jesus is a mythical being representing the age of Pisces. An age happens every about 2015 years or something. Jesus said he would be with us until the end of the era, when a new era will begin... which is said to happen about 2012.

THIS IS THE DAWNING OF THE AGE OF AQUARIUS!!

  7. It's the Book of Revelation

  8. Depends on what you mean by the "Last Judgment"? There are several descriptions to start from. I will say that Jesus said that He will divide the nations as a shepherd divides the sheep from the goats. He will then judge these nations according to how they treated the nation of Israel. Did they help her or hinder? Did they feed her or leave her to starve?

  9. those great and small will stand before him and the book of life will be open those who's name is  not found in it will be tossed in to a burning h**l those who name that are found in ir  will be rewarded by their works

  10.   The moon will turn to blood. Locust-like creatures will swarm around, and only like man's flesh. 1/3 of all the water on earth will not be drinkable. Men will cry for huge rocks to fall upon them. They want to die to escape the torture. THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT. All of those who have not accepted Jesus will be cast into h**l and spend the rest of eternity there. Eternal death. Weakness, extreme heat. turture---Forever. You don't want to be around for that

  11. OK - read the entire answer before using any links.  I think that the *3rd* link is probably the one you want.

    This isn't too bad (overview)

but it sounds like you might want a more detailed account of the **events** leading up to the final judgment.  The first paragraph here is not too bad (though it is too brief).

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Rev...

This is a much better (and longer) summary of Revelation, with reasonable descriptions of events that are supposed to occur.

  12. Rev 20:11 to 15

11Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

    Rev 21:1 to 4

1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Gods created the earth for mankind & this is where we will stay .

    Hope this helps

  13. Despite the obvious fact that Islam seems to have "borrowed" from Christianity heavily, you should read Revelations sometime.  It's a start, at any rate.

  14. The last judgment described in Matthew.25:31-46, is a matter of selfishness and unselfishness, and those who are blessed, and shall inherit the kingdom, are whosoever was unselfish toward others in need; and the cursed are whosoever was a selfish person: this matter has nothing to do with Israel directly, but with every nation, and every individual.  All that christ teaches is unselfishness only, with no slightest spot of selfishness in any thing which He teaches.  It is the royal law; You shall love your neighbor as yourself; but if we see another in need, and we shut up compassion from them, then there is no love of God in us.

  15. it says christians r all AWESOME n shud add me on myspace

  16. um, Esther has it backwards, Christians will go to Heaven, others, well.. um, to h**l :(

You really can't explain it on here, it takes up a whole chapter in the Bible explaining it!

And those who lived a pure life with god, will ascend into heaven.
