  1. Jesus is saying you must take up your burden, you must renounce the world and all in it. You must die to the lust of flesh and be born anew.

Simply put you most take all the world throws at you and suffer as he did.

Take up the Cross This is what Jess did literally, But for us it is the sign. That is to sacrifice for mankind, with prayer and suffering, Mortify your body and offer everything to God,accept everything that comes as God's will for you. Put God above everything and become like Christ.

He was a man of sorrows, but we seek happiness for our lives, This is what Jesus meant, to deny ourselves pleasure for the sake of the kingdom, this is to say to work for the salvation of the lost. As God has sent me so I send you.If we are sent to do his work we can expect to suffer as he did.

    God Bless.

  2. Read on. Read verses 25-28.

  3. These are the hard words of Jesus Christ and is biblical Christianity through and through.

The Christian is to completely die to self and as A.W. Tozer once said, when a man picks up his cross he is pressing on to the place of crucifixion - he going to have it ended.

Years ago a pastor at the church I was attending said that the cross of Christ puts an end to our rights, rebellion and reputation.

I don't think you will mind at all my adding these glorious verses:

    Isa 61:3

and provide for those who grieve in Zion—

to bestow on them a crown of beauty

    instead of ashes,

    the oil of gladness

    instead of mourning,

    and a garment of praise

instead of a spirit of despair.

They will be called oaks of righteousness,

    a planting of the Lord

for the display of his splendor.

  4. this is a less than totally complex situation when He took His cross He was carrying a great load the weight of all sin of the whole world He bore it with absolutely not 1 whimper so if u take up your cross just do it giving little regard for what others will say and do just get it done follow Him and have no regrets let he who can, die for me because I will see to it death has no sting for him either but by taking up your cross u are taking a mighty bite to chew on so do this only if u can handle  ridicule beyond belief satan loves to go for the jugular of a Christin he already has everybody else so he goes  straight for the jugular on a christian to tempt them with everything in his arsenal no holds barred it will be literally a fight to the death i believe i am worthy of this but i do not underestimate the earthly or flesh temptations that will come to may me to get me to drop that cross satan would for instance send money beautiful women and prosperity to me to tempt me into thinking that he is the way just to get 1 of God's elect he would go to EXTREMES  when you take up your cross u are bearing great weight perhasps this means to let go of literaly everything you have and start with nothing this action is not for everyone it is for those whom are mature in the Word
