Christians: What is worse, abortion or homosexulity?

These are probably the hottest two topics. So in your mind which is worse?

I am a Christian, and I am pro- choice and "pro-homosexuality".

I don't believe that God made for us to chose what is worse.

Well, if you want the truth they are both disgusting in Jehovah's eyes, as the Source of life he can rightly state what is right and wrong, and both of these sins are repulsive to him.

In my mind abortion is worse, however the Bible does not place one sin above another.  They are all disobedience to God and thus are all equally wrong to Him.  

As far as how He will judge those sins at the end, I am not sure.  I know He will search the heart of the individual and will make any decisions based on that.  I am glad I am not called to make judgements, only to live my life the best that I can.

*We have something in common, we both look up to Isaac Newton.  He is one of my favorite scientists and I look forward to meeting him. He was a devout Christian.

They are both grave (mortal) sins, and both need to be renounced and repented. However, of the two abortion is a much greater evil.

Abortion is murder in the worst way... murder of innocents. To add insult to injury it is a betrayal by the mother who should protect her child, not destroy it.

Homosexuality is a perversion to the worst degree. It goes against the natural order of things, and it distorts the God given sexual identity of the individual.

I'm surprised that many Christians are saying that all sin is the same in the eyes of God. All sin is the same in the sense that it is evil and that it takes away from our relationship with God. However, various sins have various degrees of repercussion. God is not going to punish someone who stole $10 from a millionaire the same way he will punish someone who stole $10 from someone on welfare. Or Someone who is 12 and forced by their parents to have an abortion to someone who is 25 and freely chooses to abort. To say that circumstance, degree of knowledge, or the various acts don't come into play is... suggests a lack of understanding of God's mercy and justice. Just look at the law given to the Jews, there were different types of punishments given to deal with different sins, which reflected the will of God that Moses made known to the people.

Abortion, definitely, especially in cases where pregnancy could have been prevented in the first place by being more responsible.

Homosexuals at least have the excuse that many of them were born with the urge.  The same cannot be said for abortion.  It's simply a matter of convenience, and I'm sure that homosexuals don't think it's "convenient" to be that way.

But... it's not up to me to condemn any person who's had an abortion, or who is homosexual.  No one's perfect.
