  1. Why do you judge Christians on just a few bad experiences with other Christians? We're not all like that!

But as for either side taking things out of context its true it happens but it's really sad when a Christian does. Because they know better because the Bible says not too.

  2. I'd like to see them put something IN context sometimes :) Like "when it it morally right to sell your daughter into sexual slavery as the bible commands."  Sure, that would sound perfectly moral in the right context!!

  3. christians like to think they are better than everyone else when they are not.  they are hypocrites

  4. Generalize much?  You sound like a stupid 10 y/o.   He said this and she said that.   Grow up already happens on both sides of the fence, pretty much everything does.

  5. Sounds like your searching to find Jesus.  He's in your heart, but if you don't look you wont find him.  Christians die and earthly death but are raised up with Christ.  The ones that reject Christ die a permanent death.  The strange thing is that Jesus already knows who is going to reject him, but he still allows the person to have the chance.  Perhaps you should study the issue before you attempt to talk about it.  John 3;16 is a good vs, you should read more.

  6. Excellent point. Hmmm...let's see this on a shirt. John 3:18 "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

  7. Darwin fish on a bumper sticker, anyone?

  8. because its tough to be a Christian unless you lie about everything.  Its hard to support a terrible and silly idea unless you denigrate others and bolster yourself.

  9. Two wrongs don't make a right, amirite?

  10. As a Christian I would have to agree with you - although I don't tell Atheists to stop taking things out of context.

I would say, in reading the answers above me however, that there are some really narrow minded people here. Not ALL Christians are the same. Would you want to be thrown into the same category with ALL non-Christians?

It's really easy to type the word "some" or "many".

  11. Example, please?  John 3:16 says "For God so loved this world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life."

It's true, period,  How is that taken out of context?

Sorry, but if THAT'S your "evidence", it's weak, at best, and you're just tearing down straw men!

  12. that is a good question i'm not really sure

  13. For the record, I don't agree with Christians taking passages out of context in order to further an agenda, any more than I agree with atheists who do so.  The Bible has to be read within scriptural, spiritual, cultural, and historical context.  To not follow that leads people to have all kinds of incorrect interpretations of the text.

Putting John 3:16 on a shirt is not quoting out of context.

Saying homosexuality is worse than any other sin by quoting a small part of 1 Corinthians 6 is.  Using 1 Corinthians 11:5-10 to justify forcing women to wear head coverings is taking verses out of context.  Using Deuteronomy 22:5 to justify not allowing women to wear pants is taking verses out of context.

Yes, Christians and atheists both do it, and it annoys me to no end.

  14. They need to issue us a list of things to take in context and what not to. How can we follow the game without  a lineup and roster.

Are we supposed to ask, "Who's on first?", and who should we ask?

  15. if your athiest be an athiest honestly we could all care less if you dont believe in god

we will all see what happens to you in the end and you will be burning in h**l thats just the just of it. Why do u care about christians??? you dont believe in god anyway! so get off our nuts and hold your own
