Christians - Why is it a sin to have a sense of humour?

I don't think it is, watch the movie "Keeping Mum" starring Rowan Atkinson.  It's a laugh riot!

Jesus Himself used humor. It is not a sin. It is what people cluelessly categorize as humor that causes the problem.

Christians are funny, we just aren't vulgar. The Bible is filled with humor. Take the New Testament for example: If you read Matthew, Luke, Mark, and John about where Jesus is resurrected, you can sense the humor when they talk about who outruns who and who gets to spread the word. It is rather funny. You should go read and see what i mean. =)

Most of the people I know are Christian and we've all got a sense of humor.  Us Catholics laugh at ourselves a lot.  You're just trying to get a rise out of us all.  If I went to a church with a gloom and doom, dour minister/priest, I'd be out the door in a hot minute looking for a different church to grace with my presence!

It's not a sin. Who told you that? I didn't see in the Ten Commandments a line which said, "Thou shall not have a sense of humor."

Your question is not earnest.  You ask it to be hurtful.  That is why it got deleted.  I am a Christian, but I also know how to laugh and joke.  I feel that God gave us the ability to find humor in every day situations, so I take full advantage of that blessing.  You are just being closed minded and judgmental.
