I can not believe that people find my nickname "Bride of Jesus" so insulting and some think it is funny.

I am not married, therefor until I get married I will be married to Jesus. I am his child, but also declare my devout love for him. What is so offensive about that?

  1. No. I think it to be nice, I'm sure Jesus likes it. Don't listen to Christians who are book read and brain dead, they don't know Jesus, they know what the church tells them about Jesus. Christians, for the most part, don't think for themselves. Just forgive them for their ignorance. It's the churches fault, not theirs.

  2. ah nothing arent nuns called the brides of christ. I think that might offend some but i doesnt bother me. all Gods(or other deity if you prefer) children

  3. well i don't find your nickname insulting...i just find it really painful.

you are either a fanatic or a person who's screaming "attention!i'm cool!my nickname is cool!please talk to me!"

  4. His "bride" is the entire Church of His believers. But if you like it, keep it.

  5. I'm an atheist, so I kind of chuckled a bit at the notion that somebody could be married to Jesus. But aren't nuns supposed to be married to Jesus? (Not that I believe in Jesus... Or that he can have millions of wives...) But mostly I'd be curious what on earth you mean by that. And after you get married to a human man, you're no longer married to Jesus? And what does that mean? It's just confusing to me.

  6. I tend to think that the thought behind it is sort of a "sweet lemons" approach.  In other words you seem to be trying to sugar coat what you think is upcoming spinsterhood and are trying to justify it.  This is just my take given your reasoning and tone in your "question".

  7. I bet the tattoo that is on the inside of my left wrist some find offensive. Its in hebrew. I'm not Jewish. If you want to know what it means. You'll have to google it.

ehyeh asher ehyeh. I know who I am and the path I walk. Everything will offend someone. If I said I was offended. Would you be offended that I was offended. So who gets to be offended more. The offendy or the offender.

Oh by the way, I also claim to be his older brother. i do not joke on this when I say it either.

  8. Nun taken.

  9.      All of Gods chosen people are called the bride.   When the bridegroom returns for his wedding to his church, those in his church shall be called the New Jerusalem.

Revelation 3; 12.  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out:  and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name the name of my city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from by God:  and I will write upon him my new name.

What one is to overcome is the ways of the world, and all it's worldly churches which are run by false prophets.   Gods true church lies in the hearts and mind of a people who God himself shall raise unto himself, to survive the day of the Lord which is slowly coming upon us.

If you notice, the scripture above, says, "and he shall go out no more"  Upon finding God, and learning truths through the Holy Spirit, which is Christ, one has a choice that comes upon him, when not taught by the schools of man.   Do you keep following men and their vain rituals in the churches of the world, which is for earthly gains of wealth and status, or do you follow God as the Son did, and live a life resembling that of the Son?

The bridesmaid is his church which is his people, who he's teaching not men.

Do you follow God, or do you follow the vain rituals of men?

  10. It is a beautiful nickname; Marriage is a commitment to someone we love and Jesus is committed to us and loves us. Jesus and the Father are one so of course we are his children too! Nuns are called the Bride of Christ and wear a wedding ring as a sign of that commitment. It is a spiritual relationship and it is wonderful to know Jesus personally.

    God bless you

    From another Bride of Jesus

  11. i dont, but theres a bod up the road called jesus and he listens to nine inch nails all day.

  12. I don't find it offensive. It's just childish, and demeaning to you.

  13. We will all be judged for every word that comes out of our mouth, me included and you included.  So choose your words carefully.

Your nickname does not insult me.  Jesus has a sense of humor, but don't push it.  It is a fine line between humor and sacrilege.

  14. No, I don't find your nick name insulting

Of course I'm a Catholic too, and I understand the concept.

Then there are all the nuns out there who are brides of Christ too.

So you are in good company :)

  15. It's not funny. I don't laugh at references of imaginary characters.

  16. It's neither funny nor insulting.

  17. I find it pretty weird that you're married to your "Heavenly Father"

  18. Somewhat incestual to be his child and yet his bride, amiright?

Then again it's not like I'm really bothered by it...

  19. No. Jesus is a popular name to call a male child in Spanish speaking countries.

  20. Lady, I personally don't care what you call yourself.

There are far bigger worries in the world than what someone chooses as their internet nickname.

  21. We're not insulted. We just find it absurd.

Quit being such a spamming attention-seeker, plzkthx.

  22. I'm indifferent to it.  Seriously, whatever.  I can imagine that one could be insulted by it, but I couldn't care less what your nickname is.

  23. "I am his child, but also declare my devout love for him. What is so offensive about that?"

    Incest, lol.

  24. It's kind of incestuous then, if your his child and his bride. Plus there's the whole 'zombie' issue, you and bride of Frankinstein should have a double wedding.

  25. All believers in Christ are His "bride."  The bride of Christ is the entire body of believers. So, if you are a child of God, you remain a "bride of Jesus" even after you marry.  This is also true for men.

I think if you are sensitive about being picked on, however, you have chosen a user id which asks for it.  It's just the way this board is.

  26. You insult yourself by what you say.  You put your foot in your mouth every time you talk.  You're his child and his bride.  That means you're in an imaginary, incestuous relationship with someone who may or may not have existed 2000 years ago.  That is beyond pathetic.  You musta had no friends growin' up and are still lonely as F right now.  I'd offer to F you, but you prolly have cobwebs down there.  How old are you?

"Incest is best, put your Savior to the test"

  27. I think it is a very good name. Some people will only say stuff to make you feel bad. You have a very good reason for having that name.

  28. No, I don't get insulted. Why should I care? If this is what you want to believe it is OK with me, just don't push your crazy agenda onto others. Smart people don't fall for this rubbish. In my opinion you are brainwashed and afraid of the world. You won't find a heterosexual husband hun, all the Christian guys are g*y, I can spot em, all over Christian television, they secretly want to be the bride of Jesus too, lots of competition there.

You have been brainwashed and you are uneducated. but it is your life.....

one question though,   do you fulfill your wifely duties? Does Jesus come down from the sky and lie with you? Is he any good?

  29. No sweetheart, It actually has a nice ring to it! Excuse the pun

  30. When you get married will you change your nickname? Maybe Bride of Brian or Bride of Junior? Do you have to identify yourself as your devotion to someone rather then the very person you are? Maybe that is what people find offensive - the idea that you identify yourself through another person, after all these years of women fighting for their rights and young girls still declare their worth, their love and acceptance of themselves through a man.

  31. You're his child, and his bride?

    Kinky.
